I did the same for the factory survey also with no response from Ford. Had a survey form the dealer gave them same comments. They at least called me and said if I had any issues they would try and work with Ford on it. Galpin Ford in Los Angles they were great on the purchase, but never used...
Was straight forward for my wife if you collect SS at 62 they automatically enroll you in Medicare at 65. Then we just needed to pick a Medicare advantage plan. Went with a plan from Humana they even credit $50 back to your SS so she only pays a little over $150 per month. My opinion is collect...
Six more months till 65 can not wait to get the Medicare for $200 per month. Wife has had it for last couple years and way better then the private insurance I pay and arm and leg for.
Not sure what model truck you have or if any skid plates. I got the ValvoMax thinking it would be more secure than the Fumoto valve. With Shrockworks skid plates it is nearly impossible to attach the drain hose. I will need to cut a hole in plate or go with Fumoto valve.
One thing I did not see mentioned is when changing filter double check the old gasket came off with the old filter. I even check old one again just before I put on new one.
Glad you posted that I think the majority on here felt the same way. By most of the post on here I would bet the majority of members are or were hard working blue collar middle class baby boomers.
Do you know maintenance history?
If not I would change all fluids including oil, transfer, transmission (including filter), differentials and coolant also maybe brake fluid.
Enjoy the truck, but take care of it.
Plus you subtract original purchase price and any improvements you did. When I sold in So Cal I was able to zero out any capital gains tax. Using the improvements we did (all DIY) so I might have stated things costing on the high side, but I do quality work. Sleep good at night I have paid more...
Have you contacted Ford Corp about this issue? Has bad as they can be would think they would be interested in your situation. Insane you paid for a new engine and they gave it back to you not running. I would have paid by CC and then disputed it with the CC company.
His title should come with a release signature from the lender. Maybe he was talking about going to his DMV and having a new title issued in his name only removing the lien holders name. Which the release signature would do without added expense.
That is also a good option I did not think of. I used that on a Subaru Forester and it worked great to monitor the CVT which would easily overheat. Main reason I got my Ranger is I was pushing the Subaru way too hard. I took it a lot of places it should not have went. Put bigger KO2 tires, full...
Forscan is nice to make changes and check for codes. As for monitoring temps I would invest in a Scan Gauge II they are only about $160 on Amazon. With that you can easily monitor what you need. On the main screen I have Trans Temp, Coolant Temp, Battery Voltage and CHT 4 very important numbers...
Selling the house after 35 years is pretty good also. Feel sorry for people that rent their whole lives. I rented for 10 years before buying probably paid 1/3 of someone’s mortgage not a smart idea.
Best deal find good outside financing then you can take the dealers rebate also. Ford was offering $2000 rebate, so I took that ,and used a Pentagon Federal Credit Union 100% loan @ .9% for 60 months. Just made last payment today. In the end with the deal I made, my final total OTD cost...
No transmission should have a service interval of 150k. Same with the lifetime antifreeze makes no sense to not change them. With proper maintenance changing fluids regularly most cars should last 150 to 200k. The manufactures have the service intervals (10k oil changes) designed to get past...
Maybe Airline Tech or Ranger Bill can answer that. I do not know if that is the same circuit? I would think no, but a lot of these are tied together for power. Yours seems to be acting the same as mine was, and it was the trailer wiring circuit.
