Anyone using or familiar with Idemitsu synthetic oil? Truck shop recommended, they do a lot of work with older trucks and apparently this is what Japanese manufactures put into their new vehicles. Have not heard of it until now
Good manufacturer, in general great products. No better or worse than most mainstream brands I would say. They make a lot of OEM fluids under contract as well, so they're not a fly-by-night company.
That said I would recommend one of two different oils.
The first is the Motocraft Oil. Regardless what others might say with their special oil analysis, it did just fine with Ford.
The Second is Motul. Yes they have many different types and it is certainly best to get a hold of them to verify which oil they have is best for your application. But they have no problems with helping you figure that out. Motul is also the choice Nissan went with for their Motorsports Division.
In my 2019 Ranger I had no problems running the Motocraft 5W-30 Full Synthetic.
In my 2012 Nissan Frontier I am using Motul Eco-Nergy 5W-30 Full Synthetic.
Personally I do like the Motul stuff a lot, but it's your call
