Just please don't do that in the left lane :p
Those kids drive so damn fast. Why should I move over to let them break the law?

/s.

Ive only had the ranger up to 85-90. My top speed belongs to a 3.5L Camry which was far quicker than it had any right to be. Stomp at 50? Break traction....

More than 185 km/h or 114 mph won‘t happen with the 3.2 diesel on an original Autobahn…
edit means: unfortunately :sunglasses:

I've done 130 in my patrol car responding from my house (off duty) back to my work area due to a barricaded murderer in an apartment complex.

It was late in the night so very limited traffic on interstate. Believe it or not, even traveling at 130, once you've maintained the speed for a few minutes it didn't feel any different then cruising at 70.

I imagine though 130 in a truck may be different than a car.
Nope, its the same. Back in the 70's I had a GMC short narrow Indy Pace Truck with the 454. This truck topped out at 140mph, the only thing was the center stripe acted like a little hill changing lanes!! This was all done in rural West Texas at night and usually all there was on the road was yourself and maybe a critter or two.

You'd be forced off the highway here driving that slow. lol
No he wouldn't.
I drive that slow and have no problem holding my place.
Then again, I'm not intimidated by traffic ;)

you haven't had the right asshole behind you yet.....
Sure I have. Chances are we all have.
The difference for me is I don't care how close they get, or how bright their lights are, or how loud the horn is, etc.. I am the one in control of my vehicle, and I am not required to take driving suggestions from others on the road regarding my vehicle speed or placement.
In well over 3 million miles of driving both a tractor trailer as a profession, and my personal cars all over the place, I've yet to encounter anyone willing to actually hit me/cause an accident because I refuse to give way or speed up to make someone else happy.
And if that day ever DOES come, and that's the way God chooses to call me home, then so be it. I'm not concerned about that either.

Hit limiter a few times?, but seriously changing the way I drive(laying low because the popo already caught me:bandit:). Up until 5 months ago I was averaging 16.6 mpg. I Cruise controlled my way to 19.1 mpg.
I feel like your Hawaiian culture is quite opposite of SPEED RACER, makes sense. When I visited Kauai, the cops were just relaxing everywhere on the side of the roads. Did they give you a ticket or warning and what speed? :p

I agree with your way of thought. However, I think having the Tyger hitch armor definitely makes my mindset more like "Good luck" ?

what makes you so special?
most states, your included, have laws about left and right lane use.
you are required by law, "suggestions" from other drivers are a moot point.
What gives you the right to care about someone else wanting past you? they have just as much a right to operate their vehicle at their chosen speed and placement as you think you do.

when others believe they own the road, with some special self appointed rights, road rage escalates.

Why are you ASSuming he's in the left lane? If he's driving in the right lane he can basically drive the speed limit without having some a'hole tailgating him. Here it doesn't matter if you're on the highway or a surface street they're still pushing you to go faster even if you're already going over the speed limit. Your links are meaningless if the person driving behind you is a jackass!!

What makes me "special" is the same thing that makes us all "special". There are laws in place for driving a motor vehicle. I drive mine according to the law, with the biggest exception possibly being the speed limit, in which I typically drive about 3-5 mph over the limit on the freeway, and about 2-3 mph over the limit on the surface streets here in PHX.

I understand the very basic concept of "slower traffic keep to the right" and because I have a really good grasp of that concept I pretty much stay in the right lane unless it is to pass someone driving slower than me. I don't hold traffic up unnecessarily in any lane that I travel (but as I said I won't be bullied into speeding up or moving place unsafely just because someone behind me is either mad or in a hurry or both).

As a former "professional" driver, it was my job to be extremely aware of the laws involving not only tractor-trailers but the motoring public in general. Most of the laws regarding speed and vehicle placement don't vary much from state to state.

As for road rage...or any other kind of "rage"...the world is full of angry people. Some folks just want to be mad at things. Doesn't matter to them WHAT other folks are doing, as they just want to be mad at something.
