Shedding my stock, well-cared-for, Hankooks on my 2019 XLT this week at 39,000 mile…& a lot of it highway. Developed very strange wear pattern in front…wheel alignment in spec. Switching to Wildpeaks; already have Cooper AT3 on an FJ-40 Land Cruiser.

If you’d installed the MBRP dual exhaust instead…there’d be no problem. Just crank the radio up louder & the smell will go away… away.

If it’s dented…better strap in. Cheap, double-walled box….no access from “inside”…you’re looking at a skin graft. This ding ended up costing north of $6,000..

Kinda like having LOTS of gas in your CRV’s 3.7 qt oil pan & them trying to sell you a Cabin Temperature Control unit to fix it. Why? Well, why not?

Speaking of “SHO”s, loosely; I had a 92 SHO Taurus with the Yamaha motor…that was definitely a giggle to drive…and a tad quicker than the Ranger.

Original Hankooks. Too lazy to rotate; keep the pressure between 15 PSI & “That looks about right”. 3 yrs & 35,000+ miles & still good. Dammit.

Maybe aliens, a lightning strike, or a solar flare, turned your Ranger into a Honda…(chronic electrical issues)….

Please? Seen this video…multiple times. Great if you own a 2019 or newer. No small comfort for guys like me who own a 2018…don’t live in one of the “21 northern states”…still consistently have increasing oil quantities (not counting the initial oil change I did at 5,000 miles & drained 5 quarts...

You’ve got ‘no worries’, compared to the real debacle with the Honda CR-V’s 1.5 liter “Earth Dreams” engine…. where some engines had so much gas in the oil, folks were getting sick due to fumes in the “cockpit”.

I’m trying to picture oil leaking down around the coil packs… How many times have you changed the oil in 35K mikes? Fresh oil on plug threads doesn’t (necessarily) equate to internal engine/cylinder damage. You would definitely have other unambiguous indicators (lots of smoke, misfires...
