I got up to 65 mph on my road bicycle coming down from Kancamagus Pass in NH one time. Really made me nervous that I would over heat the rims from the hard braking and cause a tire to blow, so after the first time I never let the bicycle exceed 40 mph. The ride from Lincoln NH to the top of the pass is about 12 miles. 2.5 hours to pedal up and 20 minutes to coast down.31 drafting a bus downhill on my Cannondale mountain bike
