  1. Anyone think the new 2024 rangers look like mavericks?

It looks like a Maverick to me, but I'd like to have the power rear window, heated steering wheel, and that touch screen. I wish it had ventilated seats like the Colorado. I'm keeping my 2020 though. 26,470 miles on it is all. May be switching out the FX4 shocks to the Fox or Bilsteins soon...
  2. !

Inflation is here to stay, yes. ADM's will have me buying private party in the future. My Ranger has a whopping 24k miles on it and will last me for years. I'm older (57) and am debating retirement at the end of this year or next. I'll be fine.
  3. !

Yep...that's exactly what I meant, and it is what keeps the prices higher than normal outside of inflation. I see the specials on the Mach-E too, but in my area, the discounts were met with higher ADM's. I have a 2020 Ranger and a 2022 Sonata Limited. Both are paid off, and will last me many...
  4. !

Some people have more money than sense. I'm personally not paying that for any truck. My Ranger is paid off and was paid off a couple months after I bought it. $34k. Going back to 2020 I could buy TWO Rangers for the price of one now. No way can it be justified. I just looked at a 2023 King...
  5. Ford Performance Fox 2.0 bigger Tires

I've got 30k on my Dura-Trac's and they still look pretty new
  6. Safe to leave hitch receiver installed?

I got rear-ended. I leave mine in 24/7 now. It adds 11" to my bumper. Go ahead and do it again...
  7. Another FORD 10-Speed Automatic Lawsuit Has Been Filed

I had a 2018 F150, 2020 Mustang GT, and have my 2020 Ranger. All 10 speeds, no issues. Therefore, my anecdotal evidence renders this lawsuit false.../s
  8. Ford Tried To Be Tesla, And It Cost The Company Billions

Yeah, I needed a commuter CAR for work and Ford quit making them. Honda and Toyota were out of them, so I looked at Hyundai, and I'm glad I did. I picked up a 2022 Then throw in the greedy dealerships that instantly did a "market adjustment" that weirdly enough, was the exact amount of the...
  9. 10 Used Fords We Wouldn't Touch With A 10-Foot Pole...

They are correct about the brakes on the 2018 F150. They wouldn't "grab" until pushed to the floor with a purpose. Mine went to the shop 3x in the first 6 months with nothing wrong found. That was one of the reasons I got rid of it. The Ranger isn't much better in that department, but I've...
  10. Welp, add me to the list.

Same thing happened to mine. File through their insurance, take the check, order the top plastic, and 2 bottom plastic pieces from American Trucks dot com. Once all the plastic is off, there are 4 hex-head bolts to remove the right bumperette, and two other small bracket/rods that's suspended...
  11. Long Range America Tank

2, 5-gallon cans works for me
  12. Rain

We average 11" of 'rain' a year here. We've had 13" since May 1. Lightning took out a tree in my backyard last week, and I need to chop it down, but...it's supposed to rain again today. Probably delimb some of it this morning.
  13. 1 yr W/O my Ranger but new F150 V8

I've had cooled seats on my last 9 Ford's and I've never heard them. I have no idea what you're talking about. You must have heard a bad seat and decided on the spot that ALL Ford's must be loud.
  14. Why do people like hitting Rangers?

It's one of life's mysteries. It's also why I run with a trailer hitch sticking out 11" on my truck everywhere I go now. I'm gonna rip out their radiator and cooler if it happens again so they can't drive off if they have insurance. It's actually surprising how much more room I have now at...
  15. Interest Rates

Looking at Ford Credit, the Bronco is 7% across the board while F150's are 0 for 36, 3.9 to 60, 5.9 for 72, and 6.9 for 84. Yikes.
  16. Yikes! Are they really this expensive?

The dealership closest to me regularly lifts a Ranger, puts some fender flares on it, reupholsters the seats, and swaps rims. Maybe $9k worth of stuff, then advertises them for $82k for a month before dropping the price to $57k. When they do that, some idiot pounces. These are XLT's too...
  17. ***Update Pg. 26*** Think It'll Buff Out?

I'm amazed at how crappy people are at driving nowadays. I've had at least 4 instances since I got rear-ended where people have blown through lights or stop signs and would have hit me if I hadn't got on the brakes. Glad you're okay.
  18. The Facts: Ford Performance Fox 2.0 Vs. Fox Performance 2.0

No. You rebuild the shocks every oil change, and then you know you're okay. You change brake pads at the same time.
  19. Did I make a terrible mistake?

I usually beat the shit out of mine once a week (3 years in July) and it's good minus 2 small dings. Had to bend a bracket into place and replace the plastic on the rear bumper after getting rear-ended too. Naw, my truck handles everything well. Only 26k miles on it as I have a commuter car too.
  20. Scary 'Self Repo' symptoms on EV day before actual REPO w/o Ford even sending default notice or intent to initiate it

OP, I can put you in a low-mileage 2020 Lariat Ranger with FX4 for...$1000 a month for 72 months INCLUDING interest! Think of all the money you'll SAVE!
