How do you reach all of the outside of your windshield to dry it?

Electric leaf blower. I never dry the paint of any of my vehicles by rubbing things on them...
Now that I use a rain-x coating on the windshield, the water blows right off with the leaf blower. Before using it, water had trouble completely blowing off the windshield.

Yeah, that helps too. So does keeping the paint waxed.

I feel really strongly about the two-bucket wash method, and drying with the leaf blower. That's why our German and Italian vehicles have no paint damage from washing and drying...

I never "dry" the truck or the trike with a rag of any kind.

I use this.

It's a worx 20V cordless blower. I started using it on the Trike because of all the little nooks and crannies. Battery lasts for 2 or 3 trike dryings, and 1 truck drying.

I never thought of using a leaf blower to dry the truck but it seems like a no brainer. If this no brain activity keeps up, I may just start shopping for a tailgate damper LMAO

Most paint damage actually occurs from washing and drying the vehicle.

Just use a leaf blower for drying, and skip the paint damage...

I have two five gallon buckets. One I use to wash the vehicles, the other I flip upside down and stand on to wash and dry the roofs of my trucks and my wife's minivan.

I've been using a California Water Blade for over ten years. The wax beads water forever.

I use a similar method to the leaf blower.

Except I just drop the hammer leaving the carwash.

This might come in handy for all us short guys/gals. Looks like it would work great for reaching your windshield, the hood, truck bed and servicing your engine. Seems to be built sturdy and a great price too at $38.00.

I bought one of those probably 15 years ago for working on my trucks. Makes working under the hood doable and I am 6 feet tall.

That is pretty cool looking. After starting this thread, I either use my leaf blower or adjustable squeegee which works great. That combined with an adjustable wash mop, I reach all of the hard to get to areas while washing and cleaning.

I could use that though when applying rainx to the windshield, instead of using a step ladder that I always fear is going to tip over and scratch the truck.

I like the texture of the platform, it'll keep you from taking a tumble when your're washing and your shoes are wet. Now I have something for Santa to bring me for Christmas. ?
