Had my seats redone with red accents 2020 Ford ranger lariat

Very disappointed on how my seats turned out! The material is leather and came from Katzkins. I bought from them due to there high reviews, not sure if it's the material or the installer who put them on. I reached out to them and was told the wrinkles will go away on their own.. l know better than that!
Looks to me like the installer should have put more affert on installing them , like stretching and heating the material. Reached out to Katzkins several times with no response
What are your thoughts? The installer won't respond.

The Katzkins in my mustang came out great. But the installer sat the seats in the sun for a day to shrink the leather and dewrinkle it. Best advice is to park where you can maximize sun exposure to the interior.

Those seats look like mine at 59k. I know nothing about leather, but right now, it doesn't look right, maybe they'll straighten out. Like the color though.

Not that I am an expert but... I have heard that the wrinkles come out when it sits in the sun. (with time) I would try that.

You only have a few options

1. Let it sit in the sun (Heat) - (Best Option)
2. Try to carefully apply heat (Hair Dryer) while pulling on the cover (be careful not to overheat)
3. Since up the Hog-Rings & Listing Rods - Tighter - draw them closer together - (may not make it better) depends on how tight they already are. Visually they appear tight

It appears that the covers just need to soak up some heat to shrink form in place

Wow, Katzkin covers are a serious investment and those look nice. Not sure how much 'sun' you're going to get in Oregon right now... in the East/Southeast we're getting cold weather.

I notice on the Katzkin website not only can they add heated seat options they can add ventilation too. It's a premium price tag but would sure be nice.

Heated steering wheel like on the top of the line 6G would be cherry on top.

I hope so too Rick. Although, it’s February in Oregon and you’re not about to see the sun for a while. It’s even raining in your pics. Hang in there bud. It might be a while but I sure hope it works out.

I'm a autobody painter. Removed dash and door trim and sprayed them gloss black , as well as the steering wheel trim.

When I did mine a few years ago, I had a similar outcome on the passenger seat. I tried several things heat gun, sun, etc. After a few weeks and no change, I remove the seat and redid the hog rings. Mine looked like your but on the other side. I also installed during a warm September month.

I'm talking about these wrinkles the other small ones will smooth out. Katzkin are very GOOD leathers seats compared to factory.

When we did Cadillac leather seats , the guy had a upholstery steamer that worked wonders on leather... but the red part in the circle looks like it may need a little tug and tighten... imo...
Love all the accents ! I may try that in Ford Blue ...
