  1. Lariat floor covers

Weathertech is the standard all compare to. I went with Husky on someone on here recommendation. It was a good sized savings, and I was ready to return if they were cheap. They were built for quality, I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend for those looking...
  2. Coming up on 40k. A few preventative maintenance things the dealer is recommending

Oil change at 3k is severe overkill, just judging by smell and color of my own oil at that mileage. I get no fuel smell in my oil, even at the 10k timing of oil change. Not sure when the oil color changes, as I rarely check. It doesn't burn, doesn't leak, so I don't obsess over it.
  3. Survived the eclipse... Totality.

According to the news, being in the NEK of Vermont, we had some of the clearest skies along the path. We were in the area of totality. Set up my phone, sat my butt down on a chair, put the special glasses under my prescription glasses and spent about an hour and a half watching the event. it's...
  4. Did Ford change my oil

The jug of Rotella specifically says for gas trucks. No worries here...
  5. Shop talk(I use my truck)

Hi, and I don't recall that thread here.
  6. Did Ford change my oil

Since I change my own oil, every filter on any machine/vehicle gets the date and mileage written on filter. saves me from trying to find info elsewhere...
  7. Back-to-back Blackstone Lab reports w/Motorcraft 5W-30 vs. Amsoil

I guess you would have to put in the effort to research what numbers would constitute an issue. I figure Blackstone must have a range of normal, but how bad is a number out of that range? Is it worthy of dumping, or just a heightened sense of something may be coming? I am not in the know of...
  8. Did Ford change my oil

And I do love me some rum, the good stuff though, not the stuff you have to add sugary soda to in order to make it palatable...
  9. Back-to-back Blackstone Lab reports w/Motorcraft 5W-30 vs. Amsoil

I get that some want to know the numbers, I'm an information junkie myself. Never have or will do an oil analysis. Not my form of entertainment. For those that do test, what do you do with that info? If a number is off, what is the plan? Just guessing here, but I'd imagine Ford telling you that...
  10. Did Ford change my oil

I use Rotella full syn. Very light in color. At 3000 miles, it definitely is not dark brown in color. I change at 10k or less, and then it is dark brown. Smells old, but no fuel smell. After all, it's a 2019 :o) A look at the oil filter drain would show if it was done. Or just look at the shiny...
  11. Triple Stacked Wheel Weights

Wow, that is an insane amount of weight. Ditto what's been posted...
  12. How much does your tonneau cover leak?

On my roll up, I installed tailgate seals, thanks to someone's post on this forum. Even with pressure washing, I get very very very minimal amount of water in. Even the flap seal that seals the top of tailgate doesn't really pass any water, but I don't direct spray for a long time up close. It...
  13. Vermont Sold: Used Bora 1.25" spacers

Bought new from Stage3Motorsports, 1.25" $90 plus shipping from 05871. Weight about 16# I am not convenient to USPS so please get your own estimate. Picture of truck shows with them installed. Tread goes to edge of fender, only sidewall sticks outside of fender.
  14. How much does Ford charge

I think if they were trying to scam you for a service like that, there would be signals raising red flags. IE a conversation with the SA. Some are good salesmen, others are terrible, uniformed liars. Reviews, although taken with a grain of salt...
  15. 154k mile Ranger

Yeah, I'm sure all of us could get a better trade in than what FordPass is pushing. It's more of a commercial email I got trying to get me to buy a new truck. And, of course, the fine print states it's a just an estimate. I'd like to drive it until it's dead, or until my needs change. That may...
  16. 154k mile Ranger

Yes, I have no issues, regrets, or want for any other vehicle right now.
  17. E racing

I was thinking along the lines if old school HO track cars. I think identical cars is fair, an important part missing for ne is the shifting. But you're right, it does highlight skill level. That's why I love the road courses better than oval track, regardless of car type.
  18. E racing

Just got back from a walk and turned on tv, on CBS, they are showing FIA Formula E racing. I could get used to the body styling, as this has always changed over time. Having trouble with listening to the whining of the powerplant though...
  19. 154k mile Ranger

43k on my 2019 Lariat. FordPass finance says $26k trade in value.
