I believe the files starting 4U5T-14G421-CxD_xxxx... are updates of the map to Version 2 20. At least that is mine did. I also believe there are 14 different files to the map update. Using WiFi, my Ranger told about 3 days connected to my home to download and install. YMMV.
Mine took 2 weeks to download and install all of the files.

Does anyone know what all these files are? My map version showed 2 20 after the 2nd file loaded....surely that's not really true if it takes 13 files to complete the map load.

One issue I noticed is that the -CHD package "was installed successfully" but it keeps trying to install it (3 times now). How does one know if these files were successfully loaded? What are the consequences if one file does not get installed?

I'd still like to know if all 12 map files were successfully installed but I may have discovered why [in my case] the -CHD file took multiple attempts to successfully install. During the 4th install attempt it quit because of low battery level. I started the truck and let it run and the -CHD file then downloaded and installed successfully...My system thinks it's all up to date now and hopefully it is....lol

My Ranger also showed the new map version NA 2 20 was installed but continued to download files for several days. Yes, it downloaded the same file more than once. I have no idea why. I continued to manually scan for updates until Sync 3 stated that the software was up to date and no further downloads were available and the last scan date and time were current.

I also confirmed the truck disconnected from wifi about 10 minutes after the truck was shut off. I finally became so frustrated I let the vehicle run to download and install the remaining files.

What is interesting is my 2019 F150 parked right next to the Ranger and connected to the same wifi source had none of these issues.

Furthermore, even after all the map files were downloaded my IVSU files don't reflect the highest level of software even though I know they were successfully installed in both the Ranger and the F150.

So glad my truck doesn’t have built in navigation. It’s useless anyway with CarPlay and Android Auto.

It appears that after each release you can download once for free. Or, you can use sync3 updater to download to USB which is what I did to download the map updates.

You can download as many times as you want, but they'll only send the link once. Why? To trick people into buying usb sticks. Sleazy.

Yes, true. I didn't say that, but the link only appears the first time. It is sleazy.
