Seriously, if you were not noticing any issues before you read this thread, don't let anyone touch your transmission. Don't do the tsb, don't mention it.
Mine just got finished having the second step of the TSB ( valve body) done. I have the MBS dipstick and they didn’t say a thing about it. I did mention it both times before having it worked on. I imagine the tech probably appreciates it and makes his job easierI have an MBS (thanks Mike) dipstick.
Experiencing the intermittent hard shifts. Any foreseeable issues taking it in and them refusing service because of the dipstick (that should be there in the first place)?
Yes. I’m convinced that it’s a money maker for them. Sounds like they’re following the “plan”Took my Ranger in friday for TSB and fluid change friday. The tech reflashed, but did not do the fluid change. He said drive it 200 miles, then bring it back in. They want to either rebuild or replace the transmission. Sounded like they actually want to do the warranty repair. Does this make sense? I'm almost at 60000 miles.
Thanks. Sounded like they want to replace it either way.Yes. I’m convinced that it’s a money maker for them. Sounds like they’re following the “plan”
Did you have any symptoms? Codes? Thanks. Sounded like they want to replace it either way.
Symtoms yes. No engine light. Although the tech said he cleared dtc codes?Did you have any symptoms? Codes?
I just had my oil changed at the dealer and they did a checklist of 'recommended' services since I'm at 40K+ miles. A transmission fluid change was part of it (cha-ching) but I'm holding out to swap out the stock tranny pan for a PPE one when I do.53k and the trans hasn't blown up yet?!?! That's a miracle!

Just got a call from the dealer and they stated they can't get it to flare the shift like it was previously and there are no DTC codes, so it looks like everything is fine. I told them it is more likely to show the flared shift first drive in the morning, and they said they would keep it overnight and try it again in the morning.I just dropped it off at the dealer again, and they are going to look and more then likely move on to the next step of the TSB.
