I always tell the service writer not to adjust tire pressure. That said, I carry a pressure gauge in the glovebox. When you’re in the parking lot, it’s a lot easier to deflate the tires to your desired pressure than it is to put more air in.

Maybe they made an error, my door says 38lbs.
Did they check your muffler bearing, was it greased?

You should only run the tires at the sticker pressure. Do not question Ford on this. If you run anything else, your truck will spontaneously combust and we will be in a nuclear holocaust.

I run mine at 40. I find the truck rides much better at 40 than 30. I do have a lift and oversized tires though. And I am, admittedly, taking my life in my own hands because the door placard says 30 psi.

We can make jokes, but this is an issue. When I bought my 2020 Ranger it had "PEEL HERE" stickers on the rims and the tires were 3 at 52 psi and the fourth at 54. The service manager told me that the stickers were supposed to be peeled off when the vehicle was processed in. What exactly is dealer prep paying for again?

Mine came from dealer at 45 psi and no wiper fluid. Also low on coolant. I don’t go to that dealer anymore after they trashed my aftermarket bed cover and dented the body.

Too funny. My low washer fluid light came on after 2 uses. I filled it up and wondered if I’d see it leak somewhere. The prep manual must have left out filling up that reservoir.

Funny.....I called the dealer a while back for the works and they told me they can't handle "maintenance" and told me to go to Quick Lane where I don't need an appointment.
So I drive 18mi including the toll road just for them to tell me they're booked up. Try a Tuesday when they're slower.
Needless to say, a trip to Wally world, a jack and some stands and these 65 y/o hands got the GD job done. And the tires were spot on! Screw them points.

They should be at 30 psi. I do like mine at 32 psi cold but they're not the stock tires and I found this is perfect for me.

While you're at it make sure they filled the blinker fluid too. It should be max strength for that elevation. 😜

Hi all,
I went in for The Works service package this morning for an oil change and tire rotation. When I got back into the truck, the tire pressure screen was displayed with the tires reading 40 psi. The elevation here is around 4000 feet, the door label reads 30 psi, so I had them filled to 32 psi for the elevation difference. Am I way off or do they know something I/we don't?
Happy Thanksgiving!
:turkey:
They are way off! (My door label reads 30PSI also, and I like to keep them a little higher, say 33-34, but 40 is off the scale.)

My small town dealer here in the upper Midwest did the exact same thing. The door jamb sticker recommends 30 psi but the tires came out of the service bay at 36 psi. They're probably serviced too many F-150s and set 36 out of habit. I'm guessing it's simple lack of attention to detail.
