This is why I wanted to highlight the TRM as the OP mentioned in the first post about getting it.
And no one stated he did not need it.
So yes - OP they are 2 separate modules, and it appears you should have this already installed.
This will simplify things and all you need is the Harness already mentioned.

For Ref: The TRM (if installed) is mounted under the Glove Box (Circled)
It is mounted under the TCU - Telematics Control Unit

As pointed out - This module is only for Lighting, Trailer Bat Charging and Trailer Connected Message in the IPC

If this is installed, then the wiring is present from here to C405 - which is where the Options Change happens and from what I can tell - the part numbers from C405 to the bumper are as follows.

These all include the License Plate Lights
KB3Z-15K868-A: 4 pin harness w/o sensors
KB3Z-15K868-B: 4 pin harness w/sensors
KB3Z-15K868-C: 4/7 pin harness w/o sensors
KB3Z-15K868-D: 4/7 pin harness w/sensors

There is another P/N for the Harness, but this is for a Flat Bed (No Bumper) Config it appears

That P/Number is KB3Z-13A576-A - Through (-F) it appears it is only the trailer wiring, no plate lights or sensors - Not very CLEAR, but if you have a bumper then this is not it.

I see the module on my truck on the other side of the bracket that the telematics module is on so I presume I have this part. I am uncertain as to what the arrow you drew is pointing at or for, but am I right in assuming that I just need the wiring harness for the bumper sensors and the seven pin connector or will I need more parts?

The circled part is the TRM, so to get it working - as far as I can tell - just the harness and the plug.
Then do a normal install as others have for the (TBC) Trailer Brake Controller to add the trailer brake function (if desired)

No one has mentioned having to do any Forscan changes and I do not see any lines that stand out for the BCM or TRM that differ between the harness differences.

Thanks for clearing that up! I do have the TRM so the harness and connector are all I need for the outside of the truck. I was wanting the factory TBC but that $330 price tag is a little steep so I may look into other options for that.

Do ALL RANGERS have the (TRM) Trailer Module Installed and wired?
To clarify I am talking about the module under the Glove Box
All retail NA rangers do. The 4pin on non-tow-package rangers uses a subset of the functionality from that module (trailer connected/disable certain warnings) and ford kept the wiring the same until the rear bumper except that there was some confusion over the TBC wire under the dash in certain trim levels early on. Does make me wonder what they did on the 6g--make it harder for people to add a 7 pin without paying $500 up front for a hitch receiver and 7 pin socket, or preserve production efficiency? Or some new variation of "rip the interior apart because we overlooked something"?

You could use an aftermarket TBC, but be forewarned that the trailer brakes will NOT be engaged during Automatic Emergency Braking due to Pre-collision Avoidance. This as been discussed on several threads.

IIRC, on 6G, the tow package gets you the hitch receiver and 7 pin for $500. The Advance Tow package gets you receiver, 7-pin AND integrated TBC for $895, and also activates trailer backup assist. I don't know about wiring to the bumper on non-tow package, but a TBC can be added a lot easier than on 5G, it's just plug and play.

Unless your truck is an XL, it will work. Some XLs (not all) did not have the prewiring for a TBC.

The Ford harness looks like it costs more and would be a PIA to install with all those extra plugs. I installed the CURT on my '21 XLT. It took 5 minutes to install and the truck lost no functionality at all. You unplug one connector on the driver's frame rail near the bumper, put the Curt harness between what you unplugged and attach the ground to a bolt. The Curt harness also lets you keep the 4-way under the bumper as well.

I installed the hitch, Curt harness, Pollack connector and TBC a week after buying my truck in '21. Everything worked exactly like it should.

I looked, but couldn't find a picture of my harness.

My guess is that - somehow depending on Website - The TBC Part # shows only valid for the 22-23

Website (entry) error I am guessing, they had similar issues with the FP Catch Can in the 2020's

Plus noted MOST websites list the TBC - ON BACKORDER, that may be what is the main issue.

I do not have the TBC, and can only confirm by others install and website data, that the TBC P/N
VKB3Z2C006A is a good and valid Part Number 2019-2023
Generally, you can still order it and it may generate a question - IS THIS A MOD? Click Yes
plus, it will generate a email from the parts department - Are you sure? - Reply Yes
These will more than likely pop up - if you entered your VIN# when the order was placed.

That was why I wanted the factory TBC. However, I don't think my AEB works, as it only seems to flash an orange warning on my screen (mostly unnecessary) in Houston driving. After searching aftermarket options, it appears that the price difference may be worth just getting over and getting factory unit but I have some time before I am expected to need a TBC so maybe there will be a Black Friday sale or something.

The most direct way to tell is to look for the wires under the dash.
