apparently in this area people don't purchase frozen tilapia or rice in bulk, readily available! fortunately I do! sadly, no TP in site yet but this bland diet should pose no problems in that area.

I can't even get Lactaid milk ... that is my standard was always there for me during the winter storm milk and bread panic buys.

family of 4 here, no one stricken yet but they are all ignoring social distancing, so its only a matter of time before this place becomes an isolation chamber. I'm jobless at the moment so it's easy for me to avoid people and I'm ready with all my camping gear to head out the back of the property for awhile. weeeeee.

My wife and I went to Walmart on Saturday. We were just buying the usual groceries - not too much extra. Curious, I went around the store to see what they were out of. I noticed the following items were hit pretty hard (some may be easily explainable - some maybe not):
Toilet Paper
Napkins
Paper Towels
Orange Juice
Eggs (Completely gone)
Canned Soup
Oreos (This section was decimated)
Chips
Certain Frozen Dinners (No obvious pattern noted)
I also watched folks carts go by and was intrigued by some of the various and random looking choices. I know, but this time Walmart was even more intriguing.
But this visit did not top last New Years Eve when my wife and I were going home just after midnight and stopped at the Walmart on the way. A lone, portly gentleman was at the checkout holding only a heavy duty toilet plunger. My wife says its rude to point. Good times.

I have to use lactose free milk and was fortunately able to get two half gallon cartons this morning. Also got the kind of bread we use, orange juice and a few cans of soup. I guess I was fortunate to be there when I was.

Well Skype sucks more than usual today! Never the most reliable system, often with an attitude, today is just brutal with the increase in people working remote. We were told to stop using for now and to use Teams instead which is actually worse on a regular basis. My entire team is always remote and we are on calls all day supporting our field teams, so this should be an interesting few weeks!! Giddy up...

I was watching something on the history channel about the black plague and how it killed so many people that it created a labor shortage. That in countries that were overcrowded, after the plague swept through, there was farmland available for anyone who wanted it. The labor shortage spurred the invention of the printing press and triggered the Renaissance. Human society was like a shrub that had been severely pruned back, only to sprout vigorously the next season.

Someone said today its no longer politically correct to say "quarantined" and the new descriptive phrase is "socially distanced". I got a good laugh out of that one. Only in CA...

My local grocery was wiped out of toilet paper and paper towels, but also...get this...tampons and maxi pads. May the good Lord help the poor soul who gets quarantined with a PMSing woman.
