It's still available, although I'm in NW MN now.
  2. MAP on strike and two others;

yes I have a superduty scheduled to be made the week of Oct 2. I'm sure the UAW is targeting lesser priced vehicles first, before they start screwing with the rest of the assembly plants. Gives the auto makers time to come to an agreement after dragging their feet all Summer
  3. Very disappointed in truck quality

I worked at a company in the 90's supplying parts for Toyota, Ford and GM. Toyota and Ford were very close in stringent quality standards. GM was a distant 3rd. Not even in the same ball park as Toyota and Ford. Of course, with the Quality as Job none I keep hearing about, maybe GM crept ahead...
  4. Multiple alarms and display fails, again, still

something to look at, although its on a super duty, our baby trucks are as prone to weird issues as the big boys.
  5. Update on Updating Sync

I just did this today to fix my navigation and radio issues. I was planning on replacing the APIM module since its the exact same symptoms. Happy I tried the sync update instead. It was pretty flawless. It doesn't sound like the drive is allowing a write to happen. Can you take a screenshot of...

Or you could say that the Mav is AWD and the Ranger is 4WD...which is also true.

  8. Another Transmission Issue? This One Startled the S___ Out Of Me!

Mine does it too, when it drops from 10th to 9th. Its a pretty hard clunk when it happens. Fortunately, its very rare, about once every three months or so when the the situation is perfect for it to happen.
  9. Project Msfitoy V3.0

I can expect to replace the transmission at 100k miles? Sheesh. I'll start saving up the pennies now. 40k more miles to go. How is the new tranny?
  10. Veterans only thread.

Nah man, I'll take my two pound, comfortable, external frame pack any day over Alice. I love my Seek Outside Unaweep. I hike in running shoes, sleep under a quilt, on an air mattress, under a two pound tarp with inner net tent. That's how you walk in the woods.
  11. Veterans only thread.

More than a touch. All that crappy, heavy TA50 is why it took me so long to take up hiking. I thought to enjoy backpacking, I would need to carry 60 or 70 pounds of heavy-assed equipment. Eff Alice. I hated that bitch.
  12. Rear brakes are grinding and need new pads at 23k

But they aren't all like that. I've had good experiences and bad experiences with dealership service departments. I have a 3 strike rule. After that third strike, they're out! Only one dealership has had three strikes, and that was in a space of two weeks. The incompetence was mind-numbing. I...

  16. Just Have to Share My Mini Ranger

The moderator posted his pic of his mini ranger sitting on a magazine , looked like a Magpul, maybe AR or AK platform. OP asked if he was the only one who didnt own a firearm. Apparently the answer was yes :LOL::LOL:

  18. Just Have to Share My Mini Ranger

I think there are 28 states now that are constitutional carry
  19. Just Have to Share My Mini Ranger

You did the right thing. What else were you going to do, shoot him? you're probably better off not owning a firearm living in commiefornia. Maine, NH and VT are all Constitutional Carry states. No permit required and no registration, because frankly, its not any of the government's business...
  20. Off-roading order of operations

I leave it in 2wd until I get to a place when I'm slipping, then its easy enough to put it into 4wd. Just go play with it. You'll get the hang of it, or you'll learn how to use those $350 traction boards and your shovel. 4 lo is normally for more technical or steeper terrain. Not used it that...
