  1. Do I need to replace my thermostat?

Thank you so much for your informative post. The code popped up while driving home from work, about 65mph, in tow/haul mode, with 1200 lbs in the bed. Went to AutoZone to get it scanned and i presume they cleared the code because the CEL was no longer illuminated after that. When running...
  2. Do I need to replace my thermostat?

Is the ECT sensor just for the gauge ?
  3. Do I need to replace my thermostat?

I also had the P0128 code pop up while in tow/haul mode. In the engineer test mode, my coolant temp never got over 81*C, which is below the threshold. I was thinking it could be the sensor at fault also, but i had not seen any mention of them failing. Would a faulty sensor trigger a different code ?
  4. Do I need to replace my thermostat?

Reviving a dead thread, would it be beneficial to also replace the coolant temp sensor since the cooling system will be drained ?

As a Ruger fanboy, i would not recommend a Ruger pistol to an inexperienced shooter. Bought my wife a Security 9 last year and had to spend some time with it to make it work for my wife. On the other hand, i carry a Ruger SR9 that has been flawless since i bought it in 2012.
  8. Front strut replacement

I swapped my front struts in a couple hours using this spring compressor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X5CXTR6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. I did end up doing it twice as the new struts at factory height were...
  9. Need new taillight, looking for options.

Yes, they used to be a tad cheaper as a complete unit I believe. But it makes more economical sense for end users to only need to buy the part they need instead of clogging service lanes for module programming.
  10. Need new taillight, looking for options.

Lamp assembly used to come with the BLIS module but now that are separate items. KB3Z-13405-G Left tail light ($1083.33) KB3Z-14C689-B BLIS module ($603.33) Also not included are the brackets and screws for the BLIS module... KB3Z-14D189-A Bracket ($84.50) W505564 Bolt ($4.13) Prices may...
  11. Need new taillight, looking for options.

BLIS module has to be programmed to VIN. Previously programmed modules are bricked
  12. High milage tires

I have had the Destination LE3 on my truck for less than 1k miles. They are excellent in all weather conditions but being a harder compound, my mileage did take a hit. Coupled with .75" level of the front end, I seem to have lost over 1MPG. Oh, and I dont go offroad at all.
  13. Ford sold me out, switching to Toyota

Which dealer in San Antonio ? If its the one I dealt with for my stolen tail lights, then I dont blame you for the sour taste. But dont let one bad apple spoil the bunch.
  14. New VLAND MATRIX PROJECTOR headlights wiring problem

Couple of observations... Have you possibly tried to power each pin individually on the new headlamp to see what the result is ? Is it a possibility that there would need to be a change made in FORscan for these lights to work ? (based on the information that you have replaced your halogen...
  15. How to calculate amp draw?

Watch your inrush current. It won't be too bad with LEDs but with relays and other loads, it can play a factor. Your circuit should always be rated for 125% load.
  16. 2023 Fender Badge Help, Thanks.

The BAP includes blacked out fender badges. I've never seen smoked badges, OEM or aftermarket.
  17. Creating a do all manual.

I have found to put ideas on paper and 100% idiot proof is a major undertaking as well as mildy frustrating. Good luck with the project !
  18. Quick Disconnect Sway Bar Endlinks

EDIT: I didnt watch the video first. Not that I am in the market for QD end links, but do you just leave the bar and link free or is there another point of contact on the frame for the end link when not connected to the knuckle ?
  19. yamahaSHO's Street Truck

Even though it was stock, she ran like a r@ped ape. Somewhere i have pics of the battered front end after a run through the Texas Hill Country. On those runs we had two groups; Sergio, and everyone trying to keep up with Sergio.
