The effort was the point, making it simple on a mass consumer scale for the everyday online shopper. The effort involved to do the research on every company/product to suss out country of origin is not a level of diligence tolerable by the avg consumer.Do a search, there are many made in USA companies out there clothes, shoes, all my business casual clothes are made in USA, jeans are Texas Jeans, socks made by Fox River, EcoSox, a part for our Rangers are made here in Effingham IL. Libman makes brooms and brushes in Arcola IL, you frequently see their products on TV during baskektball games, used to wipe the floors when someone goes down. Wether Tech and Husky are made in USA. I belive Stanley is making an effort to manufacture tools here.
Maybe we should start a Made In USA thread.
WE are clearly motivated to buy on principle but WE are not the avg consumer. Make buying on principle as easy as clicking a “filter by” button and that will help the avg consumer be willing/able to buy on principle.
Also - love the idea of a Made in the USA thread! Fire it up!
