Had it 4 years no issues, just noticed this during a recent emptying. Catch can are highly recommended for Ecoboosts.
So far no one on this forum has demonstrated a need for it. Highly recommended means nothing to me. I trust proof not backyard mechanics.

Exactly what I said. No one has demonstrated a need for a catch can. What problem is it solving. No one has shown deposits on this engine. If there are, please post them.

You’re right. Sorry to offend anybody. If a catch can gives you peace of mind go for it. Your truck your choice.

I’ll fix it for you. No one has demonstrated a need for YOU to have one. So you don’t have one. We get it. Those of us who do have them are content with our decision to install them. I could take the time to explain why I did but your mind is made up.

And from the poor translation, it's obviously chinese.
Best example of that was a couple of howlers in the manual for a Korean made washing machine we once owned (a damm good washer too I might add used it for 10+ years until our family outgrew it)

"Note- to avoid the electric shock, it is best to avoid washing the clothes in a wet environment"???

and, funny but probably actually good advice

" this machine uses a 240 volt circuit which must be earthen, however it is not recommend to earthen to a gas pipe"

I do need a catch can so I can fart and not have to roll the windows down.

Ford makes one for the truck, it catches stuff. Might not be needed but ford created one. No filter media to shred either.

It does have a filter/screen. Whether or not it will disintegrate remains to be seen. But it’s been out for quite a while ( 2015 Mustangs and up). Have not seen any reports of issues.

Well it does but in person it looks much different than the one in the other post. This is like a metal screen where the other one looks like a rock sponge.

True, but I responded because you said “no filter media “.
