It hasn't separated much, maybe after emptying the can a few more times it will be easier to guess what it is

So this would normally be blowby that gets sent back into the intake an burned correct?

if so, how does the fuel in oil problem relate? Why doesn’t the gas volatilize out of the oil and get burned back off in this process. I understand why there is gas in the catch can I suppose but why doesn’t it just burn off as intended?

To be clear, I am a truck driver, not an engineer :sunglasses: I guess the fuel would burn off if it made it back to the intake instead of the can, but it's the other crud I am hoping to keep from building up on the valves over time. Work is local and I do a lot of short trips and since it's not ideal for the engine to run frequently without getting up to temp, I think this will be beneficial in the long run.
