?The thought of getting that much cash for my truck has an undeniable appeal, but I would just end up sitting on it as nothing else appeals to me at the moment.
Now you're really going to de-friend me. ?

Not everyone buys 4x4 I’d bet Ford sells more 2wd tooMods ALWAYS take a toll on resale, I would think especially in today's market where dealers are looking to buy up "like new" vehicles. You should tell him to run it again, but this time select no mods and see what the difference is.
I don't believe that at all, just saying....down here in Texas, I'll bet that no more than 25% you see on the road are 4WD.I'm not sure if this has changed since this was reported on in 2014, but 4wd outsold 2wd by a good margin. 56% of midsize p/u trucks and 73% of full size p/u trucks were 4wd. I would bet you're correct... In Texas.I don't believe that at all, just saying....down here in Texas, I'll bet that no more than 25% you see on the road are 4WD.
pretty much every new truck I see driving in and around Dallas Texas has a 4x4 badge of some sortI don't believe that at all, just saying....down here in Texas, I'll bet that no more than 25% you see on the road are 4WD.
They're probably hiding inventory there so they can justify the ridiculous markup on the ones on the lot. ?Today I saw a sign that inventory may be increasing. There is a large Ram/Jeep dealership near my office in Scottsdale, AZ. They use the parking lot behind a Lowes for extra storage. Pre Covid, there were probably 200 vehicles there. Last 4 or 5 months – zero. Yesterday, a few Cherokees. Today, 12 Cherokees and 2 Rams.
I can see them doing that. They're probably hiding inventory there so they can justify the ridiculous markup on the ones on the lot. ?
Okay, that's weird then, and kinda funny too. I guess most of them city pavement warriors are buying them for "just because in case I need it reasons"?pretty much every new truck I see driving in and around Dallas Texas has a 4x4 badge of some sort
yeah these are f150s and such with shinny paints and chrome wheels that have no intention of off road. This is why I went with 2 wheel drive and not tow package as I had a f150 for 20 years and didn't tow a darn thingOkay, that's weird then, and kinda funny too. Depends on where you live really, in New Hampshire most are 4wd, and while I was fine with 2wd with studded tires and weight in the back, I went with 4wd for my Ranger, and then my Tundra, with a tow package on both.Okay, that's weird then, and kinda funny too. Yeah, I would like a 4WD for going to to the Texas Gulf beaches a couples of times a years, or the 1/2" of sleet or snow that shuts down our entire area until the sun comes out the same day, lol!Depends on where you live really, in New Hampshire most are 4wd, and while I was fine with 2wd with studded tires and weight in the back, I went with 4wd for my Ranger, and then my Tundra, with a tow package on both.
