You want to hear bitching about build quality and warranty work talk to a Tesla owner. I know a few and what I heard was mind blowing. To the masses they heap praises, behind closed doors it’s not that at all. I have yet to hear one being bought back for major problems. Well unless a lemon law forces them to otherwise you’re on your own with no where to go for parts or service other than them!

Both car companies and airlines should have been allowed to sink and bottom out. Let new players step into the game.

This whole "too big to fail" line is the biggest load of crap ever.

You can add the USPS sto that list of entities that should have cratered a while ago, but gets propped up by tax payers.

Innovation, good customer service, quality products - none of these things happen with any regularity when companies are given a blank check by the .gov
The US Constitution requires that there be a federal postal system and education for all children. That's why there will alway be both. Fortunately we have commercial parcel delivery and home schooling, charter & private schools which helps keep the fed institutions in check.

The hood overlap must be a crash or pedestrian injury mitigation thing, but it looks like the hood clay modelers didn't communicate with the front clip clay modelers.

The engine cover has nothing to with quality.
The upholstery is designed that way to provide better comfort and flexibility as well as longevity.
Most other manufacturers use leather only on the seating surfaces as well, with matching vinyl on the sides.

I guess if you wanted better , you should have bought an STX, still..... 25 grand is 25 grand .
I expected the best workmanship in the industry and Ford once again exceeded my expectations.
Two years plus and still flawless.
Oh, and it runs great without the engine cover.
(I will admit that for 40 grand they could have tossed that in!)

I figger the $15000 difference is free fuel for the first 100000 miles plus free tires , brakes and scheduled maintenance.

Once you learn the 10spd you can pretty much choose your mileage/performance ratios.
I can choose from 18 to 28MPG for local driving and get consistent low to mid twenties when pulling my RV. Give it a little time yet, you're still on the learning curve!

I have a copy of that Constitution here at my desk...
Where's that "education for all children" clause  :giggle:

rofl,,, no one said engine cover was a quality thing, said its skimping on material along with other areas... i have seen many a leather seat and they are not designed like this,,,, you people cant read...geez, if you cant understand what was written , why say anything... all i said was i like my truck, its a shame ford has gotten skimpy on the 2021 and its clear to me that craftmanship and quality control is not a priority with ford and my local dealership seems like they suck

Unfortunately, this kind of response isn't going to get you any help...just start some bad banter.

Good luck.

not expecting more.....expecting some decent workmanship and quality....stand behind your product, price is not relevant...... when you buy a plane do you expect it to have issues? tv? appliance.... no
Small issues/things like that, yes absolutely. Coming from someone very involved in general aviation...

TVs/appliances are nowhere near as complex as vehicles and are much less likely to have issues, but certainly not exempt. I bought a big flat screen tv within the last year that just a few months in completely sh*t the bed and kept constantly turning on and off every 10 seconds no matter what I did. Got it replaced and the new one has had no issues yet.

The way I look at it is it's an absolute wonder we even have all this technology available to us for such affordable prices and it is all mostly pretty damn reliable.

Of course I can read! :giggle:
I don't know your dealer, but I personally know about a dozen or so, and some are great, while some can't be trusted.

As for craftsmanship and quality, you bought from the best in world when you bought the Ranger... so what's clear to you, may be just a little touch of myopia. ;)
Go to a GMC forum or any other make for confirmation.

BTW; I do understand what you wrote and I think I understand what you said as well.
These are frustrating times and I hope for you a peace which passes understanding.:like:

And this is a public forum open to any registered members to reply with their opinion or thoughts on whatever you have freely posted. Learn to laugh when somebody post something that would normally aggravate you. Or be like me and figure out what certain posters red buttons are and try to subtly press them in a passive aggressive manner. lol

Why do stereotypes swirl my imagination when I read the OP and also see he has the maximum chrome package on his Ranger.

Not that I fully disagree with him, but dear lord... lol

Not to poo poo anyone's choice of colors or options.... but I looked at a white ranger with chrome package and I was like whoa, that's a tad much. I don't think the chrome looks too bad on other colors, but white was retinal overload.

In my opinion chrome doesn't go with anything. I'm assuming (and could be completely wrong) at some point it was viewed as a luxury add-on. Probably around the same era when V8's only produced 200hp. Yes, I pulled that theory out my ass, but it sounds pretty accurate right?

Probably. On my 93 Toyota truck the rear chrome bumper ate itself with rust and I replaced with aftermarket black, and the front chrome bumper rusted where water dripped off the hood at each corner.
