I went to my dealer and put a deposit down on the ranger that is coming in. At the time, they had told me it would be in "by the end of the month (this month)." So, we did all the financing credit checks, got a credit offer and valued my trade. Now, the tracking shows estimated arrival date of 10/18. I asked them if they could do something on the price of the truck to make up for all the additional miles and lost value on my trade. They assured me that my trade value would not change.I hadn't even thought about "Customer order" vs. "Dealer order" until I read it here. In a way it makes sense, I guess.
It's kinda funny how things have changed. I didn't even know there was such a thing as "pre-trade" (which I did) until this month.
My truck is now in Georgia, so I'm hoping it will actually be here by the end of the month. Fingers are crossed, but breath is not being held.
