Spray In , Drop In, Factory Which bed are you?

Buyer beware. My dealer had Linex or a drop in available, but he wanted to charge me $900. Luckily I had just researched the price of a drop in. I prefer the drop in.
Anyway the dealer tried to add on the $900 to the contract. I told him “forget about it, I’ll buy it on my own” that got his attention quick. I ended up getting it for $250.

Linex is $525 by me. Getting it in December. Cant wait.

Just ripped out my drop-in bedliner... after 5k miles the bed paint was worn to bare metal in several spots. Now I have a Line-X with a Bedrug overtop that I'll remove when hauling dirty stuff.

Well... That's scary as hell. Was the drop in a Factory Ford bed liner? If the answer is yes what that tells me is the paint in the bed of the Ranger is sub-standard.

My last Tacoma was 19 years old, had a Toyota factory bed liner installed when we bought it new in 2002. When we sold the Tacoma to buy our Ranger the paint under the liner was scuffed, but none of it was down to bare metal.

Yep... factory liner installed by the dealer. And yes, I'd believe the paint is certainly sub-standard. More rock chips in the hood in 7k miles than my 4Runner with 120k.

My Ranger & RS are both Absolute Black... the lower part of the front bumper on the RS is absolutely trashed at 20k miles. Both vehicles now have PPF... better late than never.

A guy on Facebook posted photo's of the off brand "Scorpion Liner" he had done locally... Ohio I think. It was $100 less than Line-X.

Yikes... Looks like a 12 year old got ahold of some roofing tar and went to town. I hope it was worth the $100.00 he saved!

My dealer does Line-X also...may request that before signing the papers

I did a little research before I went to the dealer and priced the spray in and drop in. I wanted drop in. They tried to charge me almost $1k for the liner, I told them to drop it cuz I can get it for less than half price. They lowered their price.

I used someone local that does Line-X, but didn't go through the dealer. Line-X has been around for a lot of yrs. Nationwide coverage, lifetime warranty. The factory spray in is only 3/36. If your dealer can get you a better deal with a local sprayer and a lifetime warranty, go with the dealer.

Full Bed Rug..

I had one in my Colorado and it was great. Cleaned up easy, great protection for the bad and sides, held up great, superior for stopping stuff sliding around and was so comfortable. I had to sleep back there once, extended bed, I doubt I will do that in my Ranger.
