Hi AZ;
I also have a drop-In Ford liner and actually like it for clean up purposes. It does hurt my knees....Did you just buy a rubber mat like a Dee Zee to put on top of your bed liner? Did you Have to trim it ? I need something for my Old Knee's....Just wondering what the best would be.
Thanks
I keep a couple of old blankets in the back seat I use for such things...way cheap!

I like the Ford drop-in bed liner, and would buy it again. The only significant annoyance to me is the sharp edge of the tie-down access holes. If I used the tie-down anchors more often, I would probably get the spray-in.

I don’t like how much water mine retains with the tonneau cover on, but otherwise good. I’m not taking it out.

I usually don't keep my trucks all that long so I opt for the drop in bed liners. I just use the rubber bed mat in them so nothing slides all around. Like others have said one nice part is when you're carrying dirt or mulch you can just hose it out and it cleans up quick. For light debris I just take an air hose and it cleans up in seconds. Once I finally retire and keep my truck longer than 3 years I will get a spray in liner. I will still use the rubber bed mat because it helps when you're in the bed and kneeling on the rough surface and will still help prevent heavy stuff from sliding all around.
Same here, adding the rubber bed mat really stops the sliding around on the factory bedliner, but I had to trim my bed mat a bit to fit as the bedliner does intrude a bit space wise. I also added a set of tie down cleats from American Truck so I don't much need to mess with the tie downs behind the covers, and leave them in place.
