  4. Splash Appearance Package on 2023 Ranger

Nice. The Mustard yellow looks good with the black. FWIW: Get rid of those Hankook tires.... they suck.
  5. ***Update Pg. 26*** Think It'll Buff Out?

Just getting caught up on all this by reading this thread. Glad you're ok, and that's a bummer about your Ranger. Some people's kids, right? This thread has been very educational in regard to how the truck repairs would need to be done, and how crazy expensive it would be. We love our...
  6. Project Msfitoy V3.0

Got it. Well played. I'm a coaster... mostly country driving... the goal is to disengage the cruise and have the speedo hit the speed limit just as I get to the speed limit sign, then reset the cruise. I'm a nuisance... the only guy driving the speed limit. Integrity, Moral Fiber and all...
  7. Project Msfitoy V3.0

Thanks. Having changed a few pads in my day, I know the pads that are on the side of the caliper where the pistons are usually are wear out quicker, and are thinner, than the ones where the wheel mounts. I was just curious which side you were measuring?
  8. Project Msfitoy V3.0

Are you looking at the inside, where the piston is?
  9. Project Msfitoy V3.0

  10. 2024 Ranger & 405hp Ranger Raptor ? Revealed! Raptor Price Starts at $56,960

No SuperCab? What a disappointment. Sure hope I can get 17 years of trouble free service out of our 2019 STX/FX4 SuperCab, like we did our 2002 Tacoma. So far so good. I guess at that point we'll be trading it on on a new 2036 Tacoma Extended Cab? But by 2036... maybe Ford will pull their...

https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/truck-wouldn’t-start.9677/#post-179027 Based on others having this same thing happen ^^^^ I carry a 10 mm wrench in my console. If this happens, pop the hood, take the wrench and unhook the negative battery cable. Wait a couple minutes then hook it back...
  14. Ford sold me out, switching to Toyota

Posted by TOMDEE: In 2006, I worked for a ford dealership in midland ontario for two years as their gofor/shuttle driver etc...because i'm mechanically minded, I always sat with the mechanics at lunch and listen to them hashing out their problems with various fixes but one of these problems is...
  15. Ford sold me out, switching to Toyota

Hmm... maybe a shot of WD-40 in the spark plug well at each oil change might be prudent. Since we live in a semi arid climate here, it's probably not an issue. But I wonder if the OP's problem was exacerbated by living in Texas near the gulf... which means high humidity and higher corrosion...
  16. Will relocating the oil filter void warranty?

I also have a lift, and I remove the tire. Easy Peazy. I can't imagine where you're going to relocate the oil filter, where you'll be able to remove it without spilling oil all over whatever is underneath the filter. Nonetheless if you end up installing a remote set-up make sure you create...
  17. Notice to those who have replaced lug nuts

When it doesn't specify lube... that means no lube.
  18. Will relocating the oil filter void warranty?

Curious... have you, yourself, changed the oil on your truck yet? I thought it sounded like a pain in the ass when we bought our 2019 SuperCab 4 years ago. I've since changed the oil 9 times. Every time, I'm impressed with how easy it is.
  19. Truck Arrived At Dealership... Damaged

My very 1st truck was a 1985 S15. I ordered it and it arrived with rubbing compound splashed all across the back of the cab. The shipping company had scraped the drivers side of the truck bed and you could see where they had a body shop tape along the body lines and re-shoot black paint on it...
