I ordered the spray-in as part of the Black Appearance Package. I probably will not haul much in my truck, but I like to sit around on the back end and watch the river flow, and I figure that will be much more comfortable on a liner. Some folks said that the drop-ins can trap water and facilitate rusting, and so I wanted to avoid that. Truck will be delivered in mid-August, and so I will not know how this works out until then....
UPDATE: Three months (and 3,000 miles) later, I am very happy with the factory spray-in, which is very evenly done, nice-looking, and thick enough to give a good protection under ordinary conditions. I have also ordered the rubberized bed mat from Ford Accessories to enhance the protection, prevent stuff from slipping around, and provide a bit of sound-damping. Once that shows up, my bed should be "just exactly perfect" (as Bob Weir used to say)....

Definitely interested to see how well the bed mat fits with the spray in. I was thinking about doing the same thing since I have bikes and gear with sharp edges and I'm not the most gentle person with loading.

My dealership uses Ultimate Linings brand spray in liners. I'm very happy with the finish and it seems like a great formula so far. Here's the first thing I carried in my bed. Having a truck is so damn convenient!

Hey, Erik, I'll post again when it comes in. I just heard from the parts guy at my local dealership that there have been some delays that pushed the order back into November....

Just ripped out my drop-in bedliner... after 5k miles the bed paint was worn to bare metal in several spots. Now I have a Line-X with a Bedrug overtop that I'll remove when hauling dirty stuff.

I bought mine from dealer stock with the Ford spray liner. It's not even close to a Linex type product. I would have gotten Linex.

I added a cap, a few swing cases and a bedrug.

It's all good now.

Mine came with the spray in liner - from where is a mystery. I also ordered the bed mat from Ford at the beginning of September. They put a pending on my credit card for the full amount, but never shipped. Ford Accessories online is useless. There is no way to contact them directly. Luckily, my local dealer has been mostly responsive. Finally was told that all back orders for the bed mat should be cleared by the end of October. So, it's the 28th and still no action on my order. I'm really, really trying to be patient.

Did you go with the impact, heavy duty mat that also covers the tailgate?

Nope, just the basic mat for the bed. Spray in looks so nice, I don't want to risk damage. I also like the big, embossed RANGER on the mat.
I agree with not wanting to damage the surface as I'm generally not too careful loading and unloading. I also really like the RANGER embossment. :like:

According to my source it looks like the vendors are showing them in stock. It should ship soon!

I added the Ford drop in liner and really like it. I use a door mat that fits the 5' bed to stop stuff from sliding.

My dealer does Line-X also...may request that before signing the papers :like:
Buyer beware. My dealer had Linex or a drop in available, but he wanted to charge me $900. Luckily I had just researched the price of a drop in. I prefer the drop in.
Anyway the dealer tried to add on the $900 to the contract. I told him “forget about it, I’ll buy it on my own” that got his attention quick. I ended up getting it for $250.
