the tacos seem to be loved and favored by all the pundits / media. ive sorta suspected some salad passing hands for press for some of them lol. ive driven a few years of the tacos and while not bad they were not amazing either. but i may shop them in the future if they ever make one i can sit comfortably in that doesnt look like a retarded catfish or storm trooper had an affair with an etch a sketch.

And after all the "improvements" the fuel mileage still sucks.
Reading the Tacoma 4g page, low 20's are possible.

If ford would stick that 7 speed in a ranger, I think it would sell.

If I were in the market, I'd give it serious consideration......especially since they still offer a Super Cab.

15-20% of tacos are sold manual, only 25% of the broncos are ordered as a manual...

So they'd sell.. yeah.. but not great.

It's a sad thing, the death of the handshaker transmission.. yes.. but its for a reason ?‍♀

Every single one of my vehicles have been manual, until the ranger. Then.. when I traded the ranger for the Bronco i sought one out that was auto.. it's just better.

My Dad has 2018 Taco, with his age he usually has me to drive when we're in his truck. I hope they improved the seats, I hate them. Driver's seat feels like it stops about midway of my thigh putting pressure on the hammys. At 5'9, it's not like I have long legs.

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
The review mentioned that they'd finally fixed the seats. No longer sitting on the floor. Didn't mention the possible shortness of the seats, but if they went to the effort to fix those god awful things one would think they'd look at all facets of the seating.

As I've said before, not my line but perfect description: Sitting in the taco is like being the first man in the bobsled.

Yep. I don't need 4 doors, and the scab with the easy access half-doors for storage and a 6 foot bed makes it perfect, for me.

Every single one of my vehicles have been manual, until the ranger.
All my cars for 30 years were manual. The first thoughts of moving to autos was in my truck that I drove a lot on the beach, and began to think that an auto would make it easier. Then, when I started commuting in stop-and-go traffic was the final straw. I love auto's now, but I'm also old, so there is that.

I was waiting for this news. After reading reviews and crunching the numbers I don’t really see anything except standard LED headlights that is better than our 10 year old Ranger. Even with a decade of technology gas mileage isn’t improved over Ranger and only 8 more horsepower. I do like that they still have a SCAB. No need to go take that test drive at this point.

i do have some transmission and HVAC anxiety, but I bought the extended warranty so pressing on with the Ranger.

i wish someone would still offer a single cab midsize truck. I know the majority of american buyers are looking for a "truck" as a family car but i miss the simplicity of a single cab. I miss the longer bed space also.

Best way to be is no payments and why I pay cash for stuff. I hate owing money to people. LOL
Normally I would have had a monthly payment, but when I was looking for new vehicles, I was driving my 2003 Mercury Mountaineer which was paid off long ago... and I had the forsight once the Mountaineer was paid off to put what would have been my monthly payment into savings and so I was able to pay cash for my 2021 Ranger!

I liked the toys when they were just toyota pickups. back when they were small Japanese trucks and not designed to be sold direct to the american slobs.
