That is the #1 reason I was immediately turned off from the Tacoma. Most sluggish vehicle I've probably ever driven. It would drive me nuts to put 100-200-300K on a vehicle that had zero pep.
Yes but they run forever! ?‍♂. great, I get to mope around for decades with no chance of blowing the engine ... great... I'd rather have a disposable Ranger that expired in 5 years versus 10 years of Jan Brady...

I had a 2019 Taco TRD-OR 4x4 and spent some $$ modding it up......trd wheels and new tires, TRD PRO grill (but that messed up the "radar wave sensor" and it acted up after that.......hated the seats cuz they were so uncomfortable.......but the 3.5L motor and crappy tranny shifting sucked soooooo bad!!....no low end torque and when you punched it, it barely got out of the way.......made me nervous driving it in heavy traffic......and the constant shifting was madding......the lower front bumper looked weird as well.......no power seats, not even an option back then........anyway, after 6 months I HAD to get rid of it!!......I told myself never again what I drive such a crappy truck!!......mainly the lame 3.5L motor and tranny combo!!......

my current Ranger Lariat Tremor is the best truck I've ever had!!...and I've had 13 tacos of all 3 gens......and a 2019 Raptor.....the Raptor was cool but not practical.......bought the Raptor after I sold the Taco........and sold the Raptor when prices went crazy and made some$$$!!.....I'm not even interested in the new Gen of the Ranger.......well......maybe the Ranger Raptor......maybe.....LOL!! .......The 2015 Taco TRD PRO was a close 2nd just cuz the cool factor......loved the Inferno Orange and the 4.0L motor.......still not a MF Ranger!!

I did see a newer Tundra on the side of the road, but I suspect it probably ran out of gas because it looked pretty nice.
Must not have had a low fuel warning. LOL!
