Highest object in area IS the lightning rod.Today I drove from the SF Bay Area to the east side of the Sierras and drove a bunch of easy & rough 4wd roads, ending up at 11k feet on Kavanaugh Ridge, where I was going to camp until it started thunder hailing and I eventually decided to retreat to a lower elevation. The Ranger did great, even when I almost crapped my pants because a deep rut had the truck over at a very distressing angle. Rocks, creeks crossings, you name it, zero drama.

The thunder was a ways off and the storm was a surprise. The forecast an hour earlier had said nothing but clouds until the next day. That’s the mountains. ?‍Highest object in area IS the lightning rod.
It could have been worse. If you didn’t have your Ranger, you could have been making the trip home on your Bonneville. ?Drove to the urologist with the Ranger back on Tuesday. First time having my partner drive the Ranger but only because I was unable to drive. I don't know what I was more nervous about: my partner driving my truck in a speedy manner or the vasectomy. ? Thank goodness for the suspension upgrade...
Did someone just pull out in front of him. He has that look. ?Nothing major, went to sLowes to get driveway sealer and the all-important smoked sausages for Cheech. Noticed a full-size wannabe Soupie behind the real Soupie at sLowes.
Then picked up some water.
And then completed the day's errands by teaching Cheech how to drive (with the added bonus of slobber all over the steering wheel! ). =D

Mine only does 105. No matter how hard or how far you push the pedal, thats where mine stopsHit 105 mph on an empty stretch of highway on my way home from work. Was still pulling strong but I figured it was going to hit the limiter any second and I was running out of straight road.
