I had two of those previously and they had some nice features but the 3G had a stouter front axle and was easier and cheaper to lift. The part of this I don't agree with you on is the 5G being the better Ranger lol. Even though I own a 5G and like it, I wish I could go back in time and buy a new 4G.

Good post, agree with nearly all. The size totally kills it for me, I want a mid-size, all these damn mid-sizers are becoming full-size!Okay, I guess I will weigh in here, too.
I really like the 6g, but I LOVE my 5g. Perhaps I will love the 6g at some point, too, but it is too early to tell.
That said, there should be no debate that the 6g is better in many ways, and many of those ways were things that we all complained about on the 5g. Kudos to Ford for listening and evolving the Ranger line.
Will I switch? No. Probably not. Maybe. I dunno. I will certainly give it a year or two since I usually avoid first year models, although hopefully Ford has ironed out some of the typical growing pains with the 6g on the ROW model (and the overlapping Bronco components, too.)
So let me share my thoughts on some of the improvements and some of the things I don't like as much.
Improved Features:
REALLY big improvements that might convince me to switch:
Flat folding rear seats
400W Inverter in the bed
Extra bed width
Nice to have but not worth upgrading:
Locking front differential
Sync4
Large touchscreen
General ergonomics
2.7L V6 in non-Raptor models
The Raptor
360 Cameras
Parking Assist
Trailer Assist
Rear step
Exterior lighting
Things I do not like:
Not a fan of the new front grille, particularly the "one-piece" look of the lower trim levels
THE SIZE - two inches longer and two inches wider is not an improvement. I understand that this is what enables the extra width in the bed and allegedly more interior space, but the 6g is now right in the Full Size territory of 20 years ago.
No Tremor - yet. I am not losing sleep over this one since I am confident it will return at some point. Same with he extended cab.
Anyway, that is just my 2 cents. It is still a Ranger, and I hope it is very successful.
I don't hate the 6G either. I like all the tech cause I think the 5G started outdated from the get go. If it gets PHEV then I'll give it a look. I have a 2020 that I bought new in spring 21 right before the market went nuts so I got a great deal on it since it had been on the lot for 6 months... but, I'm sure I took a hit on resale because it's a year older model.Good post, agree with nearly all. The size totally kills it for me, I want a mid-size, all these damn mid-sizers are becoming full-size!
The other thing I don't like is how bad the breakover angle looks to be. The 6g raptor breakover is the same as the 5g tremor, I can't imagine how bad the breakover is on the non-raptor 6g.

Yeah, I thought it was well known that a SCAB had been seen in the wild, yet people started immediately whining about there not being one so they are buying a TuRD.This article from MotorTrend states what most of us thought, that the SuperCab with a long bed will be announced later.
