My 175ish lbs body seems to lower the rear about an inch as I climb over the tailgate, so I'm sure 4-5 bags of sand will give it a little less rake.

But to your point, the ranger bumper is about equal to that of my previous F150. Kinda stupid imo.
I have come to the conclusion the only way I would notice it lower would be if it was substantial to the point where I wouldn’t have to jump! It doesn’t bug me to much since I’m short so I knew what I was getting into when I got it. It would be nice if I could reach the sliding rear window from the drivers seat though. Maybe I’ll get one of those grabers all the grandparents have to change lightbulbs.

I'm 5'10", and I don't see your point. I've never owned a truck ('99 frontier, '97 Ranger, '88 f150, '12 f150) that was comfortable to reach into the back of the bed maybe i need a booster seat. The bed is for hauling things. Remember you bought a truck. BLUF you wanted a new shiny different truck, so you bought something and now your nit picking. You're the guy that broke up with your dream girl and claim it was because she didn't meet your needs in some way and still complain to your friends; meanwhile, your new girl doesn't either. I bet you wonder why you can't keep friends, too.
No I didn't do that. did you?

Taller sidewalls of 38mm. I guess thats all it takes......
Notice that the picture of the Ranger is 'Photoshopped' lowered in the rear, by FORD! it's actually faked. The pics on the build it site are all doctored to make it look equal ride height. And it's not correctable. It can't be fixed while preserving functionality. Had to be a flaw. It's a great truck, except for the rear air azz problem. lol.

uh i fixed it by throwing Fox 2.0s @ 2.5" on the front - extended boxed shackle in the rear, deavers and a 1" block and its every bit as functional and capable as other trucks.

sounds like some super weenie hut jr logic to me

This is still going on. I noticed the ass end was high when I first seen them. Its a truck for god sakes. Anyone who has a leveled truck takes away from the inherent capabilities of a rake. No offense to any levelers here but you know its true. Im leveling this winter fyi.

the top pic isn't a photoshop, but also note the lower pic of the Nissan is not on level ground.
Hard to find any pic of a true side by side. We can nitpick the photos back and forth all we want, it'll never change that your view is incorrect.

Lets do everyone a favor here and end this whine fest.

Someone with a level kit go put a protractor on your bed rail over the rear wheel well for conststancy....tell us your degrees of rake.
Someone do the stock version, FX4 and perhaps a Tremor.
And OP go do your Frontier bedrail and let us all know what angles we are showing,

Belltech makes a lowering kit with an axle flip but it is curious that the Rangers pictured on Ford's website are much lower in the rear than they are in real life.

If I were to make a guess I would say Ford lowered the front to make an attempt at improving aerodynamics for improved fuel mileage. I don't care for the rake so a 1/2" spacer between the strut and frame lifted the front of my Tremor 1" and it is now perfectly level when measured with a level on the bed rails, rocker arms or side steps.

I would have liked to have seen Ford put step pockets in the corners of the bumper like GM does but it is an easy fix with one of the spring loaded steps that tuck up under the truck when not in use.

I have a Tremor and it sits higher than the other 4x4 Rangers. My neighbor has an F-150 FX4, I can park next to his truck and from the opposite his truck is bigger taller & longer in every dimension. It completely hides my truck.

Had a 97 Ranger that was much lower than this one. Even with that I could not reach that far into the bed from the side of the truck. I’m 6’ too!

Only thing I wish they did do was put steps cut outs on the rear bumper sides.

I have a few thoughts on this, as I HAVE lowered the back of my truck, first, I always level every truck I have owned, usually by lowering the rear not the front, but not always.

This truck was very tough to drop, it's design rules out shorter shackles and lowering blocks, the two most common parts for leaf spring drop, the Ranger can only be dropped from a spring de-arch, or whole axle flip, not a design flaw, just how's it's built.

I also lowered it for ease of loading my heavy ass ebike, I have a crap back and the ramp angle to the tailgate was the same as the 2010 Raptor I traded in(put lowered Deavers on it), even though the bed was lower, the rake made it about the same tailgate height, but after a mere 1.5" drop at the spring, it dropped the tailgate height about 4", doesn't sound like much but my ramp is only just over 5' long.

In defense of the OP, has something bugged you so bad you hyper focused on it? well until I lowered it, the stinkbug ass high stock Ranger look did that to me, especially when I would see a stock, level, Taco go by, but it didn't bug me enough to ditch the Ford for a Nissan, although the Frontier does look pretty good.

I know Ford did it for the tow/haul rating, it must have bugged even them as the website Ranger is photo shopped lower in the back, and they also move the wheels out further, which is BS in my opinion.

When I was searching for global springs, I did find a parts catalog reference for a "high frame" and a "low frame" in either a UK or AU catalog, if you notice in pictures of non US models they are not as raked, that's what set me on the search for alternate springs, I found them but still had to de-arch them to get it level.

Should I go take a picture of my leveled ranger? Or am I just imagining that it is level. Also at 6'1" I have to say that the level of the bed it actually the ideal height.

I mean no protractor but that's gotta count for something. Does have the fox coilovers.
