Hey Jacob,

You may have already read some of this but here are are a few things not always included in the YouTube videos to help you avoid some pitfalls and make it easier.
  • Jack up both sides of the truck and place on jack stands or use a hoist - do not try this by jacking one side, swapping it out, then moving to the other side - you will likely pop an anti-sway bar link
  • Remove the caliper and rotor - they are crazy heavy when heavy is what you don't need - especially at re-assembly (adds 10 mins max)
  • Remove the axle nut and push the CV out of the knuckle and tuck it out of the way - you DO NOT want to pop your CV - I zip tied mine to the sway bar
  • Remove the anti-sway bar link from the knuckle and loosen both sway bar mounts
  • Have your front end alignment appointment set up for the next day
Sure, these steps add a bit of extra time and effort, but they make it so easy to move the knuckle around and to get that upper ball joint re-attached. You also won't pop your CV or an anti-sway bar link and you won't get frustrated trying to get your new, taller strut into a space designed for one that's 2-1/2" shorter.

Good Luck!
Ford officially says to discard and replace ball joint, tie rod, CV, and anti-sway bar link nuts. I did as suggested. You may not be able to purchase these due to supply chain issues. Your call really. I recall Phil suggesting these are good for five uses but don’t hold me to that. Other folks have done what you’re suggesting.

Hopefully, others reply and give their input.
This might come in handy - part numbers up front - torque specs on page 20…
sorry to quote you again but saving for later

I love my Eibach kit, when my rig didn't have a bumper/winch on the front. I am going to be pulling mine off tomorrow, to swap with something that has a higher spring rate. If you're interested, hit me up and we can talk. Mine is a completely assembled version and only has about 10k on it.
I really like them and wish I'd done it sooner. I started out by doing a 2.5" level kit but when I decided to keep my Ranger (I usually get a new truck every 3 years) I changed out the fronts and rears. Much better ride over the stock Fx4 and takes away the rear bounce and very smooth over washboards now.
hey guys i forgot to ask but is the eibach set at 2" when they come in or do i need to adjust them?

Mine were set at 2 1/4" as delivered.I also have Icon tubular UCA and 1" blocks in the rear. Love the stance and performance on and offroad. Great setup!

Cool thing about Eibachs is they can be adjusted on the truck although it will effect the alignment

I didn't measure them and had my local shop instal them. I told them I wanted them the same as my 2.5" level and IIRC they said they were perfect and didn't have to adjust them.

gotcha just threw em on and left them as is?
pretty much. I ended up having the alignment shop adjust them to 2.5, but they didn’t tell me how much they had to adjust. I finished the install at 1230 am and had to leave my house at 7 the following morning for the alignment.

Thanks for the response everyone! And I figured I could adjust them on the truck similar to what I had for my tacoma but as we all know it’s way easier off the truck haha but I will give it a go and bolt em on and see how they look! Wish us luck haha

Yes but one rear shock is wrong so I’m waiting for that replacement to come in then I’ll be swapping them

Hey Jacob - looking good so far. Just one thing. Have your truck meet me at the gym tomorrow. It’s leg day and it looks like it has skipped a few. ?
