@Yama_Ranger has been in contact with Transfer Flow concerning the design and availability of an oversized OEM replacement fuel tank. If enough positive response here, they have expressed they may be willing to undertake this project/item.

A 25 gallon tank would be sweet for towing. The 18 gallon tank is fine for driving around empty but the towing range is way too short. Excited to see where this goes.
I’m with you on this, mid-20’s tank would be perfect.

Yes, been wanting this since I bought the truck. The small fuel tank is one of the few things I don't like about the Ranger. Was tough to go from a 32 gallon tank to an 18 gallon tank...
I went from 32 gallons also. I didn't realize how valuable that was until this truck. You can almost watch the fuel gauge go down in the Ranger.

theres already threads on oversized tanks
not sure what the overall take was on how many people were interested
The goal was to get some sort of hard data to be able to take back, so we thought a poll was the best way to do that.

That was covered in another thread on here. Seems it’s not a drop in replacement. The design between ours and the Australian is different enough so that you would have to modify the new tank to get it to fit in ours.

It wont fit due to differences in the chassis design and the fact they dont have the gas engines in the Ranger out there

to compare the price for the bigger trucks to give you an idea, i'm betting the $1K range would be optimistic but not guaranteed.

I wasn't setting my top end limit for a 30+ gallon tank, only that I won't invest much in a 6-8 gallon replacement. If 26 gallon is the biggest upgrade, it's not worth the time/money, for my wants.

I have 2 x 18 gallon transfer tanks which will serve my needs well enough. They are more PITA than having one large under-body tank, but far less grief/work than using jerry cans.

A 40 gallon tank is a game changer IMO and cost would be less of a concern with that volume.
