Thank you for your honest review! I havenāt read all of the posts yet, but I would add that it didnāt look like you had a Tremor and you felt that the ride quality in the Turd was better than the Ranger. I have had full-size pick ups, half ton 4x4 crew cabs for 30+ years until I bought this...
Welcome to the forum from rainy Central California! I will throw in my 2 cents. I have thought about a tune, but the truth is, our trucks have quite a bit of power in their stock form. I have had the truck for a couple of years now, and since its my daily driver, there isn't motivation for...
It would possibly make sense if you were building a rod, or adding a lot of misc devices (lights, stereos, etc.) but in a new vehicle of the lot, it doesnāt sound right.
Think of it this way - us older guys have driven a lot of different vehicles and figured out what we want in a truck. Most of us probably did a little research and ended up in a Ranger. Either we are wise, or a little senile- I havenāt figured that out yet.
As much as we would like to think that there is an answer, there isnāt. I thought of it over and over, and the only person that you can be responsible for is yourself. It is what our society has become.
Has anyone "dust-proofed" the inside of their shell? I have an ARE on my Tremor, and I took it on a 12 mile backroad trip, and the dust was getting in the back, almost like it was coming underneath the hatch in the back. Any suggestions?
Another vote for the Tremor. I have had one for a year and a half, and absolutely love it. Iāve driven 4WD pickups for work in the mud for over 30 years and this truck is very capable of the things you mentioned. I wouldnāt go with one of those third party modded trucks.
I have to say I love my Tremor as well. The Taco guys brag that they will get 2-300,000 miles on their trucks - but the have to put up with an uncomfortable, underpowered vehicle all that time, and I don't know many people that go more than 150,000 miles on their trucks anyways. I much rather...
Just my 2 cents- my ā21 has always shifted fine, but I go back and forth between D(on the freeway) and S (just about everywhere else). I do notice when I run regular it lugs badly so I try to keep 91 octane in the tank.
This is one of the reasons I havenāt bought a tune - the truck came with a lot of power, I donāt have a need to add more. The shift points arenāt great, but ā if itās not broke, donāt fix it ā. Iām not a Ford technician, and donāt want to be. Just my two cents.
The lane assist feature is totally worthless IMO and almost dangerous- but the cost of its development is added into the price of the truck, unfortunately.
A few years ago, I coached youth football. When four of the kids I coached were in high school, they were driving like idiots and hit a pole and cut the car in half. Three of them died, and one walked away. Sadly, a couple years later, the surviving kid died in a similar accident less than a...
