Not necessarily. Tire size doesn't really have a large correlation with tire pressure for the same vehicle, it's about the pressure on the road which is why the manufacturer's pressure spec is usually what you should be setting tire pressures to.

It all depends on your vehicle's gross weight...mine weighs 5,500 pounds with gear...I use the chalk test to determine my correct pressure...

Even at 5500 lbs, you're far from needing much extra pressure in the tires due to load. A few psi would be good, but much beyond that is overkill. Generally unless you're pushing max load of the tires, within 10-20% of manufacturer spec is best.

I don't know...my chalk test shows even wear across the entire tread and my mileage accumulated with the current set thus far confirms the PSI is correct and ride very comfortably...

The multileaf rear springs on the Tremor package ride pretty smooth. It's not suv smooth by any means, but it is truck smooth. I run the recommended 39psi on the oem lt265/70/17 general at3's.

I haven't ridden in a ranger with the monoleafs to know how different it is.

My Tremor rides fantastic. So good that I don't want to mess with it.

Circle? What about Ka’ena Point - I know our Rangers are pretty awesome, but I could barely get through parts of that on my mountain bike. ? Saw a guy in a Mercedes who tried to continue after 93 turned into a dirt trail and got high-centered - he asked me if I could help him. I was younger and a very powerful cyclist but who he really needed was Rory Irish from Moab, not some tourist on a mountain bike.

Until you replace the stock leaf springs you won’t be happy. They are super stiff to get the high payload capacity. I have the Fox 2.0 shocks and the Icon rear leaf set up and its a night and day difference. I don’t slowdown at all over speed humps (not bumps) and its as smooth as can be. Also no more rear end hop when hitting highway expansion gaps. Spend the money on the Icon leafs and keep your Fox 2.0s. Also, I run BFG KO2s at 40psi

Definitely curious about this. Can a dealership install all of this? I don’t know anything about installing myself and don’t have a garage

Can they? Yes. Will they? That depends. Some dealerships don't mind at all and won't care, other than probably being a bit expensive.

You're more likely to find luck with a local suspension or off-road shop to do this for you than a dealership.

You're better off with an independent shop, or a mobile mechanic. I found someone who came to my house and swapped out my shocks in my own driveway in a couple of hours. But remember when replacing front shocks/springs you'll need an alignment, and it is impossible for a mobile mechanic to do that. Places like Meineke do that, though.

Hello,

I just wanted some advice on what I can do on my ford ranger 2020 stx 4x4. I currently have Fox 2.0 shocks and does okay in my town on the road but it still bounces excessively on some potholes and bumps... It is uncomfortable for my children. I have tried the eibachs before the fox and those were no help at all. I love my ranger but if my family isn't comfortable on the ride then I may have to look for another vehicle. There are a lot of potholes and bumpy roads in my town.

Any recommendations please?

Replace rear shocks. Dont need to spend a lot of cash either.

I installed rancharos on mine. Made a world of difference.

I see the OP has a very different setup than mine. His is heavily modified while mine is stock. Just had Bilstein 4600s installed all the way around - it's like night and day. Tires at 32psi cold - still a pickup truck but much better ride and control than the 'pogo sticks' Ranger was originally equipped with.

I still have the white wall Hankooks and run 42 cold. Rides great to me. Only wiggle wobbles going over speed bumps at an angle.

I found pricing for the Iconic leafs at approx $750+ for the pair then installation, so closing in on $1000, I haven’t done suspension mods in a long while but that seems pricey to me?‍
