There is a doctor at work that has been on me about getting the vaccine. I told him I might consider it at the end of the year when more is known about possible effects. During that time I observed family and co-workers that had been vaccinated. When the Delta variant started increasing, I began seriously researching information on each vaccine. I recently saw the same doctor who, once again, asked me if i had gotten the shot. I told him that since I had observed all of them that had it, and not one had grown three heads I would probably get it. I received my J&J vaccine August 4th. I did feel like I had the flu for 1 1/2 days, otherwise I feel great. I do believe in doing things naturally when able though. I also take no medications.
Take care of yourselves. Educate yourselves. And do what you feel is best for you regarding the vaccine. (Hopefully, ya’ll won’t have to deal with three Tracy Bowmans - time will tell!).

If I remember my history the Swine Flu vaccine was a huge mess. Rushed to market for a flu that never materialized, killed a bunch of people and was recalled later.

Up here in Ontario, they now publish the data on new cases vaxed vs non vaxed. The Delta is now starting to spread and the provincial numbers are rising again. Interesting that about 78% of the cases are non vaxed, single vax or unknown. That means 22% or so are fully vaxed, and they are getting the Delta. The good news is almost all those cases are minor is scope and the symptoms are mild. This virus will mutate and there will be new strains, that could cause even more issues over time, just like the regular influenza virus mutates on a yearly basis. We will likely be getting boosters in the future, and may be getting them for years to come, just something to think about. Whatever your personal opinion on getting vaxed is, that really doesn't matter, but with each mutation this thing is getting a bit nastier and at some point the law of averages will apply and you will catch this, that is how viruses work.

Sorry, no placebo is being given to the general public. Would it sound more believable if I said that I became magnetic? Or if I was able to tune in a distant radio station through the fillings in my teeth? Or that I now crave grasshoppers because my dna is now changed into that of a lizard person. Would any or all of these be the indicator that I actually received the vaccine and not the placebo? Asking for a friend…..

With the efficacy at 90% +or- lets say, and in the US we have approx 200 million currently fully vaccinated. That leaves 20 million possible breakthrough infections of variable severity. Not too bad actually.
