Dave:

Sorry to hear you tested positive for COVID. It is a bastard! Myself neither, would not wish it on my worst enemy.

I tested positive back in mid December 2020 and was off work for 2 Months, because of it. It seemed like I had one set of symptoms for a week and a half to two and then they would go away and I'd start with a different set. Again, this went on for the better part of 2 Months.

Today, all the symptoms are gone, except for the shortness of breath. I have to watch and not over exert myself, or I need a break to recoup.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Hope you kick that thing to the curb and for good.

Take care and stay safe!
Wow Rob sorry to hear your's lingered for 2 months. God I hope mine's not that bad, there were times I felt like I was going to overheat and die.

Thanks for the explanation of the symptoms because that's exactly what's happening. Thursday I woke up and didn't feel all so bad and actually had an appetite for a change. Normally the thought of eating made me sick. I had a great meal watched tv and felt great going to bed. Woke up Friday in a pool of sweat and it started all over again. I could not get off the couch to save my life yesterday! Today was more like Thursday where I woke up not feeling to bad and ate a few small things throughout the day. No bad nauseousness and aches/pains are minimum. Now I'm afraid to go to sleep tonight. ?

Had never heard of Ivermectin. Looks like some bad stuff.
Since COVID began, I’ve been taking Elderberry, Vitamin C and Zinc - intermittently, I admit. But I will say, that for the past 18 months, despite working with COVID patients, I’ve not had so much as a cold. I give credit to wearing my mask also.
Hi Tracy,

Doc recommended the Zinc and the Vitamin D3. Been on this daily for over a year now....We just had a TeleMed with her and she is pleased with our continued usage. Friends in Michigan got hit and Ivermectin was given to them....12 hours later, they felt like covid was gone and it was! She got Covid and cured herself on Hydroxyclorquine.

Stay Healthy Folks!
Phil

I take D3 also (supposed to help brain function too). I am going to investigate this Ivermectin a little more.

First I’d like to thank everyone here from the bottom of my heart for all your thoughts and prayers. This really is a very special community and even though many of us have never met it just goes to show how we all come together when another is in need.

I started feeling a little “off” a few days after we returned from vacation but didn’t think much of it. As the week went on I felt worse and went to the Urgent Care to get tested and 2 days latter received the positive Covid results. Last Friday the 13th is when it hit me the hardest and couldn’t do anything but sleep and crawl to the couch. Between the nausea, body aches, sweats and chills I never felt anything this painful in my life. I honestly wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy! Dr says there’s really nothing you can do but let it run it’s course which is anywhere from 3-4 weeks minimum. Today is day 17 and it feels like I’m on the upside now (?) where I can finally move around without being dizzy and nauseous and finally ate a real meal the other night that wasn’t toast or soup. Doc says this new Delta variant is worse because it stays airborne longer and is highly contagious. I will admit we became very lazy with our mask wearing out here and with our heat it’s easy to do. So just a word of caution for everyone is don’t take this damn virus lightly because no matter how great of shape you’re in it’ll knock you flat out.

Now I do need to go and read the “Where’s Dave thread”. I’ve been well briefed about it and I’m sure I’m in for some good laughs.? You guys and girls are the best and it’s a blessing to be part of such a great group! Thank you for all the messages and text, they really helped get me through all this.

@Chris M said this to me in a text and it was so very true that I hope he doesn't mind that I copied it here..

Get well soon friend ...I had it early on in 2020 when it first started in March...it's no joke. We're u vaccinated?
