Hey Guys!

I just wanted to chime in here about pricing and etc! We always aim to price our products competitively in the market, since it's just not in anyone's best interest to overcharge. @Grady hit the nail on the head in that, there's plenty of factors that go into determining the pricing which includes tooling and production costs, along with taking care of the staff here at Mishi. We're all enthusiasts here too, so we totally understand the pain that wallets and bank accounts feel when new products hit the market, which is why we try to make our products as accessible as possible with discounted presales and offer financing options as well!

As for the data, that's coming! Typically we would have this launched with the presale, but we were facing some technical difficulties while running additional tests and wanted to ensure that the data collected is as accurate as possible. I will be sure to post up a link to our final blog post with the full spread of data once it's posted.

Thanks guys! Feel free to shoot over any questions that you might have

-Nick

I’m kind of new to this whole aftermarket stuff, could anyone let me know if I buy the mishimoto intercooler, and I have the ford performance tune on it already, will I need to take it in to retune with the new intercooler to see benefits?

You should be fine. All the intercooler will do is help keep a cooler temperature for a longer period of time and therefore the computer will adjust and give you more power under boost.

That is correct! Your stock map will just compensate fuelling for the lower intake temps.

Also, I just wanted to bump this up and let you know that we haven't forgotten about the final dyno data! I'll have a blog post for you guys coming very soon!

That is correct! We just received our stock of intercoolers on Friday, so to keep you guys from waiting any longer, we opted to start shipping these right away!

For those who didn't buy, or are waiting on data to make a purchase, you're also in luck. We're keeping our discounted presale active a little longer! Also, as of Friday, we were able to source our technical issue with our Ranger and captured a full set of data, so, I'll have a full post coming very soon!

The glaring lack of real world data is what keeps me at a distance from certain products. An intercooler upgrade should be doing 3 things; reducing steady state throttle baseline temps, reducing in boost temperature delta, and reducing recovery time back to baseline temps. Nobody provides this kind of data which is crazy considering it can be recorded with a smart phone OBDlink and a data logging app like torque.

I don't doubt these products are an improvement, the question is are the an improvement that warrants their price tag. There seems to be a bunch of assumption that the stock charge cooler is unable to reject heat from high temp towing, tunes, aftermarket parts. To my knowledge no one has substantiated this belief, with one exception. I do remember one member saying their truck went into reduced power mode while towing up a grade due to excessive temperatures, but I don't know if it was a function of IAT's, ECTs, EOT's or a combination.
You said this much better than I did. I was too shocked by the price to get my thoughts straight. Well done sir.
