Got mine from the dealer when I got my truck. Maybe they felt bad since I wasn't notified when it arrived. I have a XL/STX/FX4
I ordered mine late January.
Don't know when it actually came in because my dealer didn't notify me either. I just called the parts dept. out of the blue to check on when it MIGHT arrive, and it was magically there.
Truck is way smoother now with the cover installed. Just sayin'... ;)

Lol I've had a cover sitting here in a box for a couple of weeks now and my truck isn't coming until May. I expect the price will be going up on them and availability may decline as well. See them on ebay for a mint soon enough ha..

I just picked my engine cover up today. Install was super easy. Going to go for a drive and see if its quieter or not.

Can you cook pies in that. Nice artificial smell to go with artificial sound. Put it in the Mod category.

You don't spend much time in the Damper thread then, do you?

I was about to say, you're complaining, about complaining, calling it a first world problem, that is inherently in a first-world problem that comes from buying a *brand new* vehicle?

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Theres a difference between an observation and a complaint ?‍♀?‍♀?‍♀

If the comment i left were to instead read "Jesus christ people I really can't stand all these stupid petty complaints".. then yeah, it would be a reasonable stretch to call that out as a complaint itself.

Thats the beauty of subjectivity though I suppose.. what one man considers a whiner another could peg as "just calling it how it is". Such is life.

I peeked at one, and the damn thing made me *facepalm* so hard I didn't have time to drop my phone and its screen got destroyed by my big nose.

And when they get hungry they can eat it with wires for desert.
Its now 10 pages about a cheap piece of foam. Maybe the foam company is now making hand sanitizer or toilet paper.

Curious. Does the engine cover do much to reduce the lifter (I think it's lifters, tick tick tick tick tick) noise from the engine? It's not irritating but it is noticeable off the truck in the cab.

Yes, on mine it’s way quieter. Fuel pump noise

Oh it's the fuel pump making the noise? Thanks for clearing that up, AND letting me know it does make a difference. It's not making me want to drive off a cliff yet, bu

I'll have to keep it in mind for if I want to buy a cover down the road.

Isn't the fuel pump in the gas tank though? I'd swear the noise is coming from in front of me?
