Opinions on these door sills

Use 100% Silicone....

And ... they have vanished. Simply disappeared. The Gorilla tape is still there but the protectors are ... just ... gone

That truly sucks. If you decide to give it another try, scuff up the back of the sill plate and use Silicone Sealant.

My body shop buddy also suggested putting some sheet metal screws at each corner. I didn't, but it would guarantee the scuff plates won't head for freedom.

Mine have not come off yet. 3M anti slip step tape. Works for me.

I use 3m tape with adhesion promotor to attach my old school Ranger sill plates and they are as tight as can be . Bret

I found this stuff on Amazon and used it for all four sills. I was not so excited about the pre-made commercial sill guards out there. I was able to make them the exact length I wanted and it wraps the edge by about 1/2" and its low-profile.

Certain color Rangers they look good on. Also depends on what accessories you have.

My concern is what the road gunk (Mag Chloride, Salt, Etc.) that gets trapped between these and the rockers will do over years of being trapped in there.

Getting ready to install these on my ranger.. Thinking of running a bead of silicone around the outer edge and maybe taking them off every couple years to inspect..

My Lariat came with these from the dealer. Terrible quality. They scratch if you look at them sideways and I dented it by dropping my iphone on it, lol. Would not recommend.
