So the dealer just called and said it was a hairline crack in the metal line before the fitting and rubber hose. Then they asked if it was OK for their technician to drive it home and back to work in the morning (30-40 miles round trip) to road test it. Uhh no? They didn't like my counter...
I had the tow truck guy pump the brakes and it wasn't coming from the fitting anyway, seemed to be the hose itself near where it makes the 90 bend. Couldn't feel a hole or cut but it was also covered in fluid. I wonder if Ford will bring it back on that nice flat bed. :sunglasses: It was...
Called Ford Roadside and set up a tow to the dealer. The dealer is aware of its impending arrival and thinks this should be a warranty repair. Backing it out of the garage, it's actively loosing fluid in a steady drip that left a trail. It seems to be coming from that compression nut/fitting...
I get in the truck today and the big red 'low brake fluid' warning message pops up before I can leave the driveway. I think, well surely if there is a leak then it'll be all over the truck and garage floor!? Oh yeah, leaking like a horror show...
It's a 2020 with 2,700 miles on it so I would...
I was able to disable XM via Forscan (Clicking it does nothing) but it still shows as a source. For all the spam calls these jags have left me I want it erased from all existence.
After going to Autozone and buying the wrong type/size of add a fuse, and then getting fed up with the vampire taps, I just directly soldered the connections. Took a little exacto knife and peeled off a small section of wire insulation and soldered directly and taped them back up. A little bit...
Update on mine. I went with the Fab Fours Vengeance. It does have the stupid logo cutouts on the side, but they're pretty small. One unintended benefit is the cutouts for lighting make pretty nice footholds for stepping up into the bed.
Trying to find your link to these... I gotta replace the "stock" flashy dinky ones. 1,500 miles in and I already have to look at their dinged up rashyness everytime I get in or out of my truck.
My Lariat came with these from the dealer. Terrible quality. They scratch if you look at them sideways and I dented it by dropping my iphone on it, lol. Would not recommend.
Apparently the hitch wasn't fully seated, it looked like it was all the way down and locked, but apparently not. I was coming down a steep hill and I heard a "Thunk" then BAM as it rear ended my bumper. Thankfully the chains kept it attached and I didn't send a pontoon through someones house...
My 22ft pontoon was not fully hitched and gave my bumper a good smash. Im thinking it’s easier to bolt on aftermarket rather than taking it to a shop. I had the Westin Outlaw in mind, but it’s not compatible with the stock hitch and their version won’t be available until January. Trying to...
