Don't these people read.....it's an ESTIMATE of fuel mileage.....to be taken with a grain of salt or 2. Sheesh, sue happy people.
One of the problems is there are too many lawyers with nothing to do, and will take on anything that comes along. At least that's the way it is in my area. You can't swing a dead chicken without hitting a lawyer around here. :)

Disclaimer: I mean no offense to any lawyer reading this. Just stating a fact.

i'll take whatever money they're handing out.
free money = my money
Unfortunately, whatever money they pay the lawyers we all will eventually pay for. So it isn't really free money.

The only class action suit I ever got much from was one from Arco and debit cards. I can't remember doing that very often but I ended up getting a check for $94. That was really surprising. Usually it is some sort of credit or gift card or $5 or something lame like that. Most of the money goes to the lawyers.

Someone once said that the EcoBoost engine can be either Eco or Boost, but not both at the same time. I find that to be true. I average around 22 mpg combined. I have gotten as low as 16 mpg when I do a lot of those "red light drag races", but I have also achieved this astounding number (below), driving all highway, adaptable cruise control set to 65, tire pressure at 36 psi, DynaPro "P" rated tires, premium fuel, and the Eco switch activated on my tailgate damper ;-) And before anyone asks, yes, I have adjusted my computer in the engineering screen to match fuelly and hand calcs., so this is pretty accurate.

But, and this is a big but (so is this)

I don't get this mpg often. My normal hypermiling mpg on the highway usually gets me around 30 mpg, but on this trip, Ft Lauderdale to Palm Bay, traffic was light so I did not have the truck adjusting its speed with ACC, no hills, no headwind, no tailwind, etc. I just let the truck do its thing and I steered (whenever the lane keeping alert told me to). This is what it achieved. No doubt, the Ranger is capable of achieving good MPG's, but under ideal conditions. It is also very susceptible to dropping MPGs whenever that Boost is engaged, and when speeds are above 65 mph. The sweet spot, as someone said, is at around 65.

Class action lawsuits always end in with "the victims" getting a $5 gas card or something an the lawyers getting millions is legal fees.

back when we got constant calls about switching our long distance phone service I got a settlement from a class action on deceptive practices an it was a phone card for 10 minutes of free long distance calling.

Yeah no $hit, here’s you 5$ gas card. Only lawyers get paid. What’s the point of it all then. Just to run ford through the mud publicly. Hoping ford gets it all going in the next few years and pushes the limits of their potential with new vehicles.

Stock supercab XLT 2wd 10k total miles regular gas for first 7k and premium gas for last 3k. Get into boost "sport" at least once or twice DD for fun and whenever i need to get around some idiot that can't pay attention.

I am hitting the estimated mileage driving 80/20 highway/city DD around 22mpg. Just took a 2000 mile road trip all highway 65-75 mph cruise most of the time 26mpg.

The point of it all is to net lawyers a ton of money. Most times it has very little to do with the issue involved. Occasionally, but not very often.

Ford went thru the same sort of thing with the new generation Fusion Hybrids in 2014. The actual mileage differed by about 5 mpg. From what I remember Ford settled and owners received a check from Ford. I think it was around $1100.

I figured the first class action would have been for the TBC or lack of an authorized TBC in early 19. The sharks might have missed the boat on that one. My mileage is better than the EPA posted and I don't need to take it that easy.

I never even looked at the numbers to see what they were when I bought it. I also never failed to beat the window stickers until my last Fusion and this Ranger. I'm averaging 21.8, not 22 as claimed. I might have more city driving than highway though.

Heck I'm getting 25 mpg, stock tires, and a 2.5 lift, running 91 octane no complaints here.

When I bought my truck brand new I was getting 18mpg on highway at 70 mph. I was advised the 2.5" lift and 33" tires they installed might knock my mpg down by 2 or 3. While I understand the term "estimate" - 8 mpg below estimate when I'm not even speeding was a let down. Needless to say I was not impressed with "eco-boost". lol Oh well.

My stock 2006 Dodge Dakota with a V8 Magum and 6 speed transmission got 17mpg even at 200,000 miles.

I just did the metric conversion from km’s per litre,
21.875 mpg. It’s actually mostly city/stop&go but has some decent straights if you catch the lights (soccer dad, I know which roads to take ?

Edit: And I’m good with it!
