Check my mileage again today and it has went up again from 19.7 to 21.7 on aggressive snow tires I'm truly amazed.
Mine got better too with the aggressive tires. I think the engine is breaking in more and that will help with the milage too.

I've owned four new vehicles with Ecoboost engines and none of them achieved decent MPGs until about 14-15 thousand miles.

My 2017 2.7TT F-150 was the same way. I was really disappointed until around 15K miles then it just changed.

I just bought my 2019 XLT 4x4 Screw FX4 yesterday with 20 miles on the odometer. I drove it 293 miles home and used 12.07 gallons for a hand-calculated mpg of 24.3 (rounded up). The computer calculation was 23.3mpg so I was surprised it was actually higher. I was very pleasantly surprised with the efficiency of its very first tank of gas. I used cruise control when I could (non-adaptive) and tried to keep the truck between 70 and 75. There was a little traffic, but not a huge amount.

I've only been pleasantly surprised by the fuel consumption. On the highway with cruise control set I will be 25+ in the city i'm right at about 22. It has the same or better mileage than my 2018 Escape and I was expecting a thirstier vehicle so I've been happy...

My city mileage is absolutely garbage, but the highway mileage is impressive given what the truck is. It balances out.

Hope someone from Ford is watching this forum I think there's a lot of us here that would testify that we're extremely happy with or MPG's
This might be weird, but I am getting much better highway mileage by not using the (adaptive) cruise control. I tested this recently on a trip down south: 22.5 MPG heading south and 26.4 heading north. This was all highway miles on a flat road going 70 miles per hour most of the time.
