Iām surprised if the fob battery is low/failing that you arenāt getting the warning alert on your dash on startup.
My Lariat is around the same age as yours, built January 2019, and I started to get this warning about 6 months ago. Changed the fob battery and all is good again.
You most likely have version 22251 of Sync. Itās a problem version (see here) with these issues as you have.
Remedy is a new version (23188 I think?) that should be available to you. See the linked thread above for more info and help.
Grrrr, so Iām having nothing but problems now. Iāve done four or five upgrades in the past using the USB method with no issues, but this one might have screwed me.
Was upgrading from a bad-working version 22251.
Did a āsoftā reset first.
Had the truck in Park, plugged in the USB and up came...
I got lucky and didnāt update with that one that messed up the climate control. That was a prime candidate for a QA miss, quite badly unfortunately.
This new one (with version 22251) with the log file filling up/whatever I would actually give the QA team somewhat of a pass because this is...
My ā19 does the same. When I first noticed it a couple years ago thought it might be a rodent but it was not. My HVAC seems to work fine.
I just chalk it up to ānormal operationā of the truckās systems.
Out of curiosity, what type of driving do you typically do, and has that pattern changed since the warmer/hotter temperatures lately?
My ā19 seems to still be where itās always been, just above minimum.
Slightly older thread but Iām gonna ask anyways:
Any āsimple ā cleaners for winter salt stains? Iāve got a bit of a track that doesnāt come out easily with the vacuum. Along the door sill area and the go-pedal area (accelerator area).
Any advice for a simple (āish) cleaning agent?
If not...
New glitch added to my previous ones - On Saturday I used Navigation and got to my destination, pressed ācloseā as usual.
Made the trip home with no nav as I knew where to go from there. About a 20 minute highway drive. No new issues.
Sunday morning, gotta make a run to the grocery store and...
Which is a complete waste of parts that could have gone to legitimately failed modules in vehicles that are stuck waiting on them.
It sure looks like itās actually version 22251 that is the problem here. Last I checked about a week ago there was no update yet, not sure if thatās changed.
Not sure myself, but would like to think that a future update (perhaps the one numbered 23088) fixes it.
Itās still workable (I donāt have the black screen issue though), so Iāll just wait until a new update is released.
No need for calling a name, could be someoneās daughter with a new jobā¦ but either way, she gave you a better diagnosis than many mechanics wouldā¦ if itās not the right thing, theyāll fix it.
Hereās something from a fellow enthusiast @thomasm23 from the Bronco Sport forums had to say, and this is 99.999% my take on it right now:
āThis is not a hardware issue. The APIM is not defective. If you are paying for this, you are wasting your money. The issue is a software issue. Logs are...
