Climate disappeared on mine but oddly after changing splash screen it Bronco or Explorer it back. I changed the 3 options mentioned prior did nothing but the splash screen did it.
I was just going through the test settings and I don't have Bronco or Explorer in the list. Are you using ForScan to change?

That looks like the map update. That needs a license. The core software doesn't though.

I still have my flash drive and will compare and update. Do you know if the license is per VIN?

Got my climate back with FORscan. Super easy. I have a tune, so I had to enter my PCM serial, but I had that saved to my phone. In order to get things to show, I had to temporarily change my theme (I chose Ford GT) and they appeared. I changed back though, because I think stock night mode 3.4 is a good match for the graphics in the instrument panel display, though Ford GT is sexy and minimalist. I did change my splash to Ford Performance though. The Cobra with the carbon background looks nice. I may try Ford GT again, because it is a nice two color black and white in night mode and medium blue and white in day. Just don't like the mismatch with the center display in color...

BTW, I enabled Climate Domain, and the two Climate Icons (recirc, etc...).

Sticking with the default Ford Classic theme. Best match for the Ranger IMHO. Keeping the Ford Performance start splash screen because it adds a little customization. The screen on off is still the default Ford logo, so it's kind of a nice mix.

Favorite new feature: Waze guidance in the right hand instrument cluster nav screen. Of course, now I'm not getting song titles in the entertainment screen.

Can you take a pic of how that looks like? I’m curious

How are you changing the theme in Forscan? I can change the splash screen, where is the change theme at?

It's in the same module configuration with the splash screen, it's just further down and not called theme. I think it is call " color variation" or something like that. gives several options for both Ford And Lincoln. All the Fords seem to be the same, as do the Lincolns. Just stay away from the ones for the the 10 inch or portrait screen. Basically the Ford tend to be blue and the Lincoln more brown/grey. You can then go into display settings in SYNC select background colors for both day and night mode from 4 choices. You can also set it to day/night/auto.

have fun playing

Ok, thanks, I gave that a try, but nothing ever changed no matter which theme I picked? Same blue screen with the same backgrounds. I wonder if somehow the splash screen limits the options? I have the Raptor splash screen chosen. Maybe I will change that and then try a couple of the theme options. I am looking for a theme with a black background, don't know if that exists?

Just remembered to get the Lincoln screens you also need to change the "brand" to Lincoln from Ford. I'm running Lincoln colors with the Raptor splash. With one of the darker colors in night mode all the time. I also like the audio screen better with the Lincoln theme.

Questions for those of you that used FORScan to restore the missing climate icon on the home screen ribbon after performing the Sync 3 update to v3.4.43 (Build 20136):
  • Had any DTCs been set in the APIM that needed to be cleared? If so, what were they and were they able to be cleared?
  • After Enabling the 3 climate settings in the APIM, as a final step, did you have to use FORScan to reset the APIM module or perform a master reset in the vehicle to re-enable the missing icon
  • Does performing a master reset in the vehicle perform the same procedure as a manual reset using FORScan?
Your responses are appreciated

No, no, and I don’t know.
I only enabled one setting. Climate Domain.
Sync 3.4 functions as it should.
