I have 22k miles. Cold dip stick read is always on the money for the last 4k miles. But my dipstick does smell like gas, much more than my 2.0 in the Focus.

I'm going In tomorrow, I'll be posting any findings also. I hope they can resolve it while I still have an engine!!Well have a appointment on Thursday to see what the Dealer wants to do. After they change the oil at 1200 miles and said it was overfull. Now after 600 miles more I am up to the twist. Told me to bring it in and they would see if they could find the issue. Fingers crossed, my first time dealing with this service dept. will let you all know what feedback I get from them.
I had not heard from the dealership and it has been over 2 weeks since they took an oil sample, so I called them to find out what's up. The guy I spoke to said they received the sample results and that the fuel dilution was high but he couldn't tell me a number because he didn't have it in front of him. I wonder why they didn't call me? Anyway, since I was in there 2 weeks ago this past Friday, I changed my oil yet again and this time I only added 5.5 qts, just enough to get it above the minimum mark (hole). Now with only 298 miles since that oil change, the level is just above the maximum mark (hole), checked cold in the morning before leaving for work, . I have another appointment this coming Friday and they said they can't give me a loaner because of the whole COVID thing. I live alone and this is my only running vehicle right now, so I will need to sit there and wait while they diagnose the issue, which they said could take a while. For reference, the truck has 14.812 miles on it now and the problem only started within the last 1500 miles or so and seems to be getting worse. I live in the sticks, so no short trips, and I do not use the auto start/stop feature. Truck runs great otherwise and I see no issues driving wise. This sucks, I hope this doesn't show up as severe problems down the road, after the warranty expires.Just got back from the dealer. They ended up taking a sample of the oil and are sending it out for testing. I have only about 500 miles or so since I changed the oil last, but the level was about an 1/8" above the max "hole" on the dipstick. They did not think that was too excessive, but I reminded them that I just changed the oil 2+ weeks ago and that the level was up further in the "twist" area before that oil change, to which they agreed was not right. I will do another oil change this weekend and wait for what they say after the oil test gets back. 500 miles between oil changes is not something I can live with, On a positive note, they took care of the tail light recall and my truck checked out OK.
Ford has to step up and take care of this or lose face with alot of people. You have to back your product or you could end up losing business big-time. I'm hoping they do the right thing!!I had not heard from the dealership and it has been over 2 weeks since they took an oil sample, so I called them to find out what's up. Can't complain about my dealer, took my truck in for the second time this morning! First time to change the oil and mark the stick to verify oil level rising. Today went in they and had all the parts to work on PVC system after conferring with Ford who told them to try that first. The comments I had made about Ford stepping up was not made for my case because it was to early, speaking for some of the other guys who are having a hard time with their dealers. So far I satisfied with my dealers actions! Will update on results.Hi Moto,
You should elevate this beyond the dealer by calling Ford Customer Care and getting this into their system as they will give you a number. Then, if you can, find another dealer. The dealer is not Ford...but a franchisee. You need a Ford problem ticket and a demand to have a Ford Field Service employee investigate this concern....Certainly, something is wrong if the truck is making oil...
Good Luck

If you have a good dealer, then give them a chance to make it right even if it takes a few service appointments. Today's vehicles are complicated machines. I think you are on the right track. Can't complain about my dealer, took my truck in for the second time this morning! First time to change the oil and mark the stick to verify oil level rising. I'm glad to hear that somebody here has a dealer willing to actually try to fix the problem! I think you should really try to press them to look at your high pressure fuel pump. Can't complain about my dealer, took my truck in for the second time this morning! Just got a call from the dealer, he said Ford told them what to check on the PVC system and mine checked out ok. They want to keep the truck for today and tomorrow, and they are going to change the high pressure fuel pump. They had to order the fuel pump. Mine has got so bad they don't want me driving it till it's changed. And their guy who drives to pick up cars for them is going to put some miles on it after it's fixed to make sure it's ok. Hope that's it, they tell me they think that is the problem!!!That will probably be the next move!!
