After riding in a Frontier I am not sure. My last pickup truck was a Nissan so that could be old bias. My last and only Ford before the Ranger was an 87 LTD 21 years ago.. so not a lot of brand loyalty built up so far.

That said, mine also annoyed the crap out of me for a few months over something silly. Now that is sorted we are getting along far better now.

I think the Ranger is a bit quicker than the Nissan so it would still likely have been the Ranger in the end. Assuming I had cross shopped more and not stuck with Ford because I already had another on order.

I would never set foot in Damerow ever again. They totally screwed my brother when he bought his Ranger there, mainly because he is basically deaf and didn't understand what they were doing. That seems like an old time high pressure sales dealership to me. When I heard how much he paid, I ended up going in and they did give him some money back but he still got screwed - this was all before COVID and the weird pricing going on.
Sadly that doesn't surprise me at all.

Not likely.

Don't get me wrong, I love it for the most part, but the slight shudder issue and it wanting to be in 7th gear at 30mph and groaning are really turning me off. Having to go to tow/haul or sport mode just to get around is not acceptable. The Canyon AT4 didn't have any of that nonsense.

Outside of that, I love the thing. Just that drivability issue. And the dealership is giving me hassle about it. I did take it to Damerow in Portland OR (will never do that again). I'm trying another now. We'll see.

I probably would, but i would be a definite if they would fix the suspension shortfalls & work on the mpg's those are my disappointments on this gen.
BTW I fixed the suspension with Bilstein 5100’s but shouldn’t have had to especially with only 10,300 miles.

Honestly … and unfortunately: No.

Ride quality. Price. The interior is just awful.

One of the cooler vehicles I’ve ever owned and an attention getter for sure. But man ole man … it’s just not worth it.

Lol, so true. I'm going to check mine when I get a chance. Also I guess I'm going to have to have my transmission looked at kind of shifts erratically like hard in some gears and normal in others
What's the diagram for lol

1 ½ years later and I'd still buy again.
Almost a year and a half for me. I would absolutely buy the Ranger again! In fact, in a few years I plan on getting a 6G Raptor…if there are any available. I absolutely love this truck. :inlove:

That's my plan too Terry but I'm afraid to see the price of it. :surprised: I really hope there's a PHEV Ranger just in case the Raptor is ridiculously high.

Yeah, same here. Some of the initial speculations regarding the price have me questioning my resolve towards buying one ‘regardless of the price’. I said that and my wife looked at me sideways  If there is a PHEV Ranger I may just get that one instead. Either way, the 6G Ranger will certainly bring some great options for anyone interested and can get their hands on one.

As a brand new owner my opinion in this kind of survey probably is worth about as much as you paid to read it, but in the short time I have owned my 2022, the answer is yes I definitely would buy it all over again. It has exceeded my expectations in every way.

For where I am at in life, there is nothing that is better at doing what I need done in a truck.

Not to say we are old but getting to the older part of life( don't feel old). At our stage of life we are hoping that the Ranger & our CR V are both lifetime keeper's. So far so good on both. So no more buying. :like: But I would.

Yes, once I can convinced to get out of a SUV (Don’t dare call it a station wagon). I would buy another 5g. Especially, a green or orange splash. Since, the Tremor is already for camping and any off road needs.

A 6g isn't something that I have allowed myself to covet yet. I love my Tremor to much.
