I love this truck. It rides great gas mileage is what Ford claimed, roomy , comfortable. Just wish I could keep my foot from kicking in the turbo ??
I hope I'm using this site right, not really sure. Maybe somebody could chime in and tell me LOL. Anyway this is about the gas mileage on the ranger. I saw on YouTube that the computerized thing that gives you a gas mileage is optimistic and looks like we're not really getting what it says we're getting. I'm posting this and I haven't even checked it yet with the calculator on my phone. Has anybody checked what the truck says you're getting with a little math and calculator?

actual mileage is usually lower. mine was about a half MPG per tank off before getting the GFC. I have no idea how bad it is now nor do I want to know. others were worse

Yes I would buy a ranger again especially if they shrank just tiny bit

Absolutely I would buy a Ranger again!!! However I would buy from a different dealer. Damarow Ford in Beaverton Oregon. I have not heard one word from them since I drove off the lot in 1.5 years. I have it serviced at Landmark Ford. Great people there. I really love my Ranger however.

I've never had a vehicle with the MPG readout that wasn't "optimistic" on your results.

My Jeep is WAY optimistic.

Most people will never verify it and be fine.

If it showed the true number people would be lining up with pitchforks.

Lol, so true. I'm going to check mine when I get a chance. Also I guess I'm going to have to have my transmission looked at kind of shifts erratically like hard in some gears and normal in others

if i bought another ranger i think id pony up for one with leather, led headlights and a different color. The black looks great when its new and perfect but its so hard to keep looking nice. a fly can land on black and leave a scratch lol.

Without a doubt, YES! I came from a '17 F-150 3.5 King Ranch. Most would say I went backwards but the Ranger has been flawless. The KR was riddled with the typical F-150 problems, oil leaks everywhere, clunky ten speed trans, cam phaser rattle, pano roof leak, etc.

When I showed interest in the Ranger, I asked a dealership tech and salesmen friends of mine. Both said, we never see them in the shop! I hope that trend continues with mine!

I would never set foot in Damerow ever again. They totally screwed my brother when he bought his Ranger there, mainly because he is basically deaf and didn't understand what they were doing. That seems like an old time high pressure sales dealership to me. When I heard how much he paid, I ended up going in and they did give him some money back but he still got screwed - this was all before COVID and the weird pricing going on.
