The instructions I downloaded show one connection.

Ok that’s the install for the Ford Performance setup. Once installed no wires have to be removed to drain it. On the 2019’s you have to transfer the sensor to the new tube. There are no wires for the intake side aftermarket setup.

I have the ford performance one, seems to work, easy to clean, and it was free. Used points from my transmission replacement for it.

Look right behind the fan shroud you can see it. I took the picture for the cold side pipe comparison.

I have the jlt late 21 model actually at the cutoff September build date. 20 min install and also purchase extension due to mn cold winter it will fill with condensation in week or to idleing it. otherwise very happy with front and center on motor unscrew "can" to empty come with a honeycomb and fine mesh screen. For the price I feel it's ideal. small business roots and excellent customer service imo.

Do not get the Mishimoto one, hoses as others mentioned are brittle after a few years, and install was a massive pain thanks to their usual sub-par instructions.
Not to mention that the Mishimoto is just an empty can, no baffles or stainless steel wool in it to catch the crap

Sorry folks I got confused.. (not a difficult thing to do either.).
So with the clean side and dirty side catch cans…
Does that mean to get a full set would be get a like the J&L kit and the dual valve UPR kit? And you’ll catch all the oil mists?
Or is it just the UPR dual kit deally?
I thought it was just get a J&L kit and call it good…
Also the ford performance one is only a clean side of the pcv version? Does that mean the J&L version is basically the same deal as the FP?

2023 MY btw which I suppose means my inst as ll will be much simpler.

sorry if this is a knucklehead question.

I got the Mishimoto, and the lower hose was truly a pain in the a$$ to install. It's a blind, 'by-feel' install. I check the can once a month, and so far there has been very little oil/condensate captured through last summer. This winter though, I was getting about ¼" of oil & water monthly making trips long enough to bring the engine up to temperature. These past few weeks I've been making a bunch of short trips, and I know the engine has not fully warmed-up by the time I get home. This week I opened the can and found it about half full. That's 2½ weeks worth:

I'm not looking forward to changing that bottom hose if/when the time comes, but I'm happy the can is reducing the oil/water vapor that gets back to the intake.

I bought the Mishimoto also. Works great but yes, the hoses are brittle/cracked after 4 years. I wonder if cracked hoses can cause the engine to run rough or cause other issues. Anyone experience any issues?

It will cause issues if vacuum is lost.

I'm running the dual port UPR catch can. Not problems so far. I just (last night) inspected the hoses and check valves. All look great and both stainless steel check valves are still moving freely, working as designed.

Man, it was a pain to install in my 2020, but it has been trouble free for 5 years now.

I have a 2019 and my large hands made the install VERY difficult. I almost gave up after trying for about an hour(off & on) trying to put one of the hoses on. No space. I hope I dont have to reinstall another can. I know it wont be a Mishimoto.

I'm surprised you're not getting a MIL and code. I installed a UPR catch can and immediately got the MIL and code for voltage irregularity or something else at the EGR pressure sensor. Turns out I had a loose hose connector in the system. Easily fixed and the code didn't return.
If your cracked hoses ever leak you'll likely get the code.
