My stock bumper is toast after climbing over a stump buried in the brush. Squashed up like your but on the right side. Nota solid bumper to begin with but fine for road driving. Just bought the AFN Rear Bumper w/Wheel Carrier and Jerry Can bracket - Ranger 2019 UP @...
Its not just about air temperature, but flow. Stock intake has several choke points. I love my Injen PF9071WB CAI. Big pipe, smooth bends. The motor inhales more easily and I can easily hear the turbine and pop off valve .
I cannot imagine buying a plugin electric truck for overlanding. Unless I put a generator in my trailer to charge the truck while driving ( : o
Otherwise an electric motor driven hybrid would be worth considering. But in the Maverick, Ford uses a gas motor mechanically linked to the drive...
I am control freak so mostly run in Sport mode and manually shift. I don't like the auto skip 2nd into 3rd gear when in "D" . Shifts from 3 to 4 seems clunky since new. 37K+ miles and going to change Trans fluid / maybe put on hi capacity pan @ 40K miles..
37K+ miles. Fx4 w/ 3.5" BDS lift and level, then swapped out front stock shock / spacers for Icon Extended Travel 2.5 V.S. IR Shock Kit . Injen PF9071WB -PF Cold Air Intake. Flowmaster 717909 FlowFX Cat-Back Exhaust System, muffler delete. Wrapped the exhaust from downpipe to end with...
I wrapped mine stem to stern with fiberglass wrap, then painted it w/ hi temp paint. This helps keep the exhaust from cooling / stalling in the pipe. You can put your hand on the pipe @ the front of the pipe, right off the interstate so it really works. Also makes it so quiet I did a muffler...
Flowmaster FlowX Flowmaster 717909 Cat back exhaust, Injen PF9071WB Cold Air Intake. A pronounced improvement over stock. No tune. With a tune it would be hard to keep tires on the truck.
BCS Lift Shackles (SUPER SOLID) in rear w/ longer rear shocks. This raises the rear 1". Icon Extended Travel 2.5" C/O's up front. Will need new Upper Control Arms. BDS has those too (as does Icon) . BTW - tall blocks suck. You will die from Axle wrap / wheel hop. 3" Block lift in rear...
Installed the the BDS 3.5" Lift Kit. It has the BDS rear shackles. Perfect lift. Disconnected the front sway bar also, super smart t improve articulation. . Perfect mods. In re the front end, Originally just went w/ the lifts in the the BDS 3.5" Lift / Level Kit. Stock shocks & springs up...
Looks like lots of cosmetic stuff. The only performance upgrade over stock is a 3.5" lift. Other upgrades to improve performance like upgrade bumper to integrated w/ bashplate, performance exhaust, 2.5" C/O's for the front are add on's
